So That ... / In Order To ...

(A) She got out of bed silently so that she wouldn't wake her baby.
(B) She got out of bed silently in order not to wake her baby.

I think both sentences are correct, but my guess is that there is some difference in nuance.
What do you think about this?
I'd appreciate your opinions!

I don't think that there is any difference in meaning. (A) is a bit smoother; "in order" is a bit awkward with a negative verb.

I want to take that back. There's nothing wrong with "in order not to"; it just sounds a bit more bookish than spoken. Another similar option is "so as not to".
