(A) We live on the earth, so needless to say, its environmental changes greatly influence our daily life.
(B) We live on the earth, so needless to say, his environmental changes greatly influence our daily life.
I think (A) sounds natural than (B), because my guess is that using "he" as a substitution for "the earth" is rather old-fashioned.
What do you think?
I'd appreciate your opinions.

(A) We live on the earth, so needless to say, its environmental changes greatly influence our daily life. ["... changes in the environment..." is considerably more natural than "... its environmental changes..."]
(B) We live on the earth, so needless to say, his environmental changes greatly influence our daily life.
I think (A) sounds more natural than (B), because my guess is that using "he" to refer to "the earth" is rather old-fashioned.
