In Japan, the death penalty is prohibited to a person under 18 years old. Today, the supreme court gave the death penalty to a man who was 18 years and 30 days old at the time he committed the murders of a 23-year-old mother and her child and raped the mother. It was debated the right and wright of death penalty especially, the meaning of only 30 days difference. It was sensationally reported that the husband of the victim claimed the accused man to give the death penalty. Many Japanese people affirm death penalties, because they think it is unreasonable that the victim was killed but the perpetrator was fed by tax money.
To think about the irreversibility of death, the death penalty makes big losses of a stuff.
However, if my precious one was killed, I couldn't say no to the death penalty.

It was debated the right and wrong (?) of death penalty especially, the meaning of only 30 days difference. This is a difficult sentence to write. I'd go with something like: There was much debate about the rights and wrongs of the death penalty (or in English we often call it 'capital punishment'), especially as the convicted man was only thirty days over 18.
It was sensationally reported that the husband of the victim claimed the right to administer the death penalty to the convicted man. - we use 'accused' until they are proven guilty, then they are 'convicted'.
Many Japanese people support the death penalty, because they think it is unreasonable that the victim was killed but the perpetrator was fed by tax money.
To think about the irreversibility of death, the death penalty is a huge loss.
If you have any questions about my corrections please feel free to ask. It says a lot about your skill in English that you can post on such matters. Well done!
Your corrections are convincing, I have almost no question.
However, the expression,
'It says a lot about your skill in English that you can post on such matters.', is difficult for me.
I little wonder which interpretation is right.
My English skill is as good as you can post on such matters, or the question shows my English skill about a post on such matters.
I hope the former one is right!
Thank you for your nice corrections!
