the terrible sandstorm

I just watched a TV program studying the original causes of sandstorm in China.
Do you know the sandstorm? Especially in China, when it comes to spring season,
there are always several times of sandstorm in the North China, which are so terrible to
influence the people's normal life and pollute the environment. In the TV program,
CCTV's correpondences make some visits to environmental experts or professionals to
look for the real reasons of huge sandstorm which happened several days before.
They even went to Inner Mongolia Automonous Region to do interviews and research, where
they found many coal mines being exploited excessively without any supervision and under any
control. Therefore, these human activities destroy the local ecological environment and caused more severe
desertification. As long as wind come from the deeper inland, a lot of sand and small particles
will be rolled up and mixed into the wind, so the sandstorm begins to form and continues to intensify gradually.
When it comes to Beijing City, it has become a huge sandstorm. In the storm, only in a short distance people can
see the objects clearly. How terrible it is! I heard many countries nearby have been influenced by the sandstorm of this year.
Especially in the 21st century, the sandstorm seems to become more fierce and more frequent than the last century.
I think people should be aware of the human activities' influence to the natural environments , and then take steps to improve them.
Otherwise, we will have no choice to accept the bad results we caused by ourselves in the future.

真有意思!加拿大也有风沙。 我的老家有时有风沙,不过我现在住的城市没有风沙。
