和英翻訳 - バンプ

今日は時間はあまりないので、いつもと違っている日記を書きます。 ＾＾
日記より、最近の日本語の練習の発表だといえるかもしれません 笑
去年はずっと大好きだったバンプ・オブ・チケンのアルバム、Orbital Period、を日本から輸入して、最近やっと翻訳をし始めました。
王様について、歌手と関係がある絵本も付いてきたし...
どんな話か知りたいです！！笑
翻訳は誤解か間違いがあったら、ぜひ教えてください。：） しかし、日本語はアルバムに書いてある通り写したので、直さなくてもいいです。
ちなみに、どうしてカタカナはひらがなの代わりに使っただろうか？皆さんは理由が分かりますか？

実は、この英語はあまりよくないかもしれません。片言だと思います。原作に似ている英語でして見たからですが...
日本語は、よく翻訳しにくいです。「I」とか「it」は分からないし、だれが何をするのは混乱になってしまいます！ （>.<；）

>人工衛星の可能性は高いと思いますね！最初は遠くまで行く宇宙飛行士だと考えましたが、カタカナの使用は人間以外の語り手という意味になったら...
でも、どっちにしても、戻られないような寂しさがあるかなって感じていますね。
歌詞から孤独感が伝わってきますよね＞＜
あと、歌詞の「遠く」は二重の意味がある気がします。「遠く」は、空間的な隔たりと、時間的な隔たりを表します。だから、「far」ではないほうがいいかもしれません＾＾
あと、調べてみたらこの曲のモデルはボイジャー１号らしいです！
Voyager 1のことなんです！...タイトルから分かるはずなのに...笑
英語では、「Voyager」というのは「旅をしている人」（しかし人ではない）っていう意味ですから、あの人工衛星にはぴったりですね。この歌もぴったりとおもいますね！★ミ

Lights flung into the night sky That crying voice will one day be yours* *I think 自分の物 can be translated as yours because its meaning looks general "you". When it comes to songs, you can interpret it freely so I'm quite sure its true meaning. So it is my humble suggestion.^^

日本語は、なかなか翻訳しにくいです。
「I」とか「it」は分からないし、だれが何をするのは混乱になってしまいます！*その通りです。日本語の特徴に、主語が消えるというのがあります。笑

そして、その語り手と相手との距離を示す効果としてカタカナが使われているのだと思います。
なので、カタカタで書かれている所が主人公の言葉で、ひらがなで書かれている所は第三者的視点で書かれているというのを強調しているのだと思います。
As for the usage of katakana, in my opinion, Mr Fuji compares the talker with an alien or Martian (apart from the fact whether you believe its existence or not.lol) in the story in the song.
And, its usage of katakana has some effect on showing or describing the distance between the talker and others (her or she or them or you, whoever) in the story.
So the part of katakana is his own utterance, the talker in the story, and that of hiragana is third party's utterance(Mr Fuji's or anybody), I reckon.
歌詞の解釈をしたり考えたりするのはものすごく好きなので、がっつりコメントさせてもたいました。笑
I really fancy about interpreting or thinking about the meaning of lyrics so I made elaborate comments in earnestly. hehe

That's right, I thought it was strange it used both katakana and hiragana in different places! If that means there are two narrators, the translation has to change again.
