Yesterday (1)

Yesterday was really a good day for me. Early in the morning, “Nadeshiko” realized the dreams of all Japanese people. I really think that their great performances and results encouraged all of us, especially the refugees in Tohoku district.

After watching their game, my son and I went to a swimming pool near my house and practiced butterfly stroke as usual. He has really improved for the last two months. His monthly test for butterfly stroke will be held next Monday.

As I wrote in my journal entries several times, to pass the test is not our goal. I think his devoting himself to something he really wants to acquire is the most important for him. In other words, I would not like to focus on results, but on processes.

However, as his father, it is true I would like to see his shining smile after the test and I think he has improved so much that he will pass the test next week. I would not like to talk about that and put pressure on him so I hope he will get a good result this time in my mind.
