Note: Please tell me if anything doesn't sound natural or make sense in spite of it being grammatically correct.
Tuesday, July 30, 2012. It's a quarter past nine (9:15)
Today was the last day of my training course at my new job and I start work tomorrow morning. I hope everything goes okay. I have to prepare my things for tomorrow, so this entry is very short.

"Today was the last day of training//of the training course at my new job and tomorrow morning will be my first day of work".
Today was the last day of my training course at my new job and tomorrow morning is going to be my first day of work.
You might omit "morning". It sounds a bit weird because "morning" (a part of the day) clashes a bit with "first day or work" (an entire day). To use "morning", you might say something like "I start work tomorrow morning."
I hope everything will go okay.
This is technically correct, but I think people would more typically say "I hope everything goes ok. [tomorrow]"
I have to prepare my things for tomorrow, so this entry is going to be very short.
I would say "so this entry is very short." It sounds weird to talk about the future of an entry in the same sentence that completes that entry.
