I Had Decided To Have An Air Cat.

I found a book in a book store.

It has many English sentences, which are to talk to cats.

That means to learn English by talking to them.

The book made me feel so peaceful.

I like cats as well as dogs.

I bought it on impulse, but I hadn't had cats.

So I decided to have an air cat to talk to in English.

By the way, have you ever heard of air something?

In Japan, some people behave to do something which don't exist but as if it existed.

We call it "air something (エアなんとか)".

The most popular one is the "air guitar".

The players behave as if they played the real guitar, but actually they have nothing.

It seems really so popular that the world championship was held. (The link may be the next match.)

What the hell do they contest? Probably I can see nothing.

Anyway, I have the air cat. She wait for my getting home everyday.

She is so cute that everyone else can't see herself but me.

I'll improve my English skills with her.

What did you decide to name your new cat?
Dec 08th 2011 13:28 Yuuki
Thank you for your correction and comment.

You gave me a big impact.
I have entirely forgotten to give her the name.

Now, I decided her name was "lily".
She is so cute like as lilies...maybe.....

An air cat! What a cute and novel idea!!

I want a Japanese air cat! Hmm..perhaps one that speaks Kansai ben would be good!! (^o^)

Thank you for your correction.

I have watched a video a few times.
It had a scene of a cat speaking Kansai ben.
It seemed that the cat said "あかーん! / Oh no!".
But he is not the air cat you want but a real cat(>_<)
Dec 10th 2011 07:55 Shizukana
You are welcome.

A cat saying "あかーん!" is really cool!

By the way, you might find this useful:

Have a great weekend!

Thank you for the link.
I'll study more about tense by the video.

It's difficult for many Japanese to understand "perfect form" and "subjunctive mood", especially which use past tense.
Because Japanese doesn't have "perfect form" and has something different from "subjunctive mood" in English.
Dec 10th 2011 09:48 Shizukana
You are most welcome.

Hope the link helps.

I think by "subjuctive", you meant "subjective" (主観的)?
Dec 10th 2011 10:03 Yuuki
No, sorry I couldn't tell you well.
The word about grammar is difficult because I can't know whether how to use it is good or wrong even if I found it in dictionaries.

I want to mean it for like about "as if", "as though" or "if I were you, I would do something."
It is called "仮定法" in Japanese.
Dec 10th 2011 10:26 Shizukana
Oh, sorry, you are right in the usage then!
