"Teru Teru Bouzu"
Do you know "Teru Teru Bouzu"?
みなさんは、『てるてる坊主』を知っていますか？
It is a small doll made of paper or cloth hung outside hoping for fine weather.
紙や布で作る、天気が晴れになるようお願いする小さな人形です。
Because It has been raining lately, it reminds me Teru Teru Bouzu :)
最近雨の日が続いているので、てるてる坊主のことを思いつきました。
I often made it when I was little; for example, the day before school trip or the day before hanging out with friends.
私はよく、小さい頃に、てるてる坊主を作りました。たとえば、遠足の前日や友達と遊ぶ前の日などに。
We hang Teru Teru Bouzu near the window.
てるてる坊主は、窓際に吊るします。
Or when you hope that it will be rain next day,
あるいは、もし次の日に雨が降ってほしければ、
We hang it upside down.
それを逆さまにして吊るします。
I also often hang it upside down when I was little,
小さい頃は、逆さまにしたてるてる坊主もよく吊るしてました。
Because I didn't like the school sports day, or school marathon. haha.
というのは、学校の運動会やマラソン大会が嫌いだったからです。

てるてる坊主を作ってことないですけど、日本に住んでいた時に、梅雨の季節にたくさん見ました。 外人の私はゴーストだと思いましたね。 (^_^;)
Your entry is really good but it's not clear why you hang Teru Teru Bouzu. Maybe you should include a sentence that explains this.
Aliceの投稿はとってもいいけど、そもそもどうしててるてる坊主を吊るしことは不明であります。 てるてる坊主を吊るすことを説明方がいいと思います。

たしかに、白いティッシュペーパーで作ることが最近は多いですし、なんだかそれがおばけっぽく見えますよねっ 笑）

紙や布で作る、天気が晴れになるようお願いする小さな人形です。” を書きましたけど、なんだかはっきりじゃないて感じ。
If I didn't know anything about Teru Teru Bouzu I might be a little confused.
