먼저 저는 FBI 배경조사를 들어와야 됐어요.
First, I needed to get an FBI background check.

미국에 그것은 3개월 걸려요.
This takes 3 months in the States.

배경조사를 기다리는 동안 직업을 찾았어요.
While waiting for the background check, I found a job.

언제 내 배경조사를 들어왔을 때 그것과 내 졸업장을 증명한 상태가 돼요.
Once I got my background check, I had to get it and my diploma certified.

그 다음 그 서류들과 계약서와 7사진과 여권 사본을 고용주한데 보냈어요.
After that, I sent those documents, my contract, 7 photos, and a copy of my passport to my employer.

그리고 전 확인 번호를 기다리야 됐어요.
Then I had to wait for the confirmation number.

확인 번호를 받는 때 저는 서류더욱 하고 내 여권을 한국의 대사관한데 보냈어요.
Once I received the confirmation number, I had to send even more documents and my passport to the Korean Embassy.

더 기다리고 후에 최후로 저는 비자있어요.
After more waiting, I finally had my visa.

총체적으로 6개월 걸렸어요.
All in all, it took 6 months.

내일 고용주가 나에게 비행기 티켓을 살 거예요.
Tomorrow my employer will buy me a plane ticket.

그리고 3주 후면 저는 한국으로 돌아갈 거예요.
And in 3 weeks I'll go back to Korea.

Just like this, in korean, you may say, "나는 사과와, 바나나, 토마토, 감자를 먹었어요.")

내일 고용주가 나에게 비행기 티켓을 사 줄 거예요.(The reason I write '사 줄';사서 주다(buy and give) is that the employer will actually give you the ticket he bought. Actually, there aren't many complex verbs in English, but in Korean, There are a number of complex verbs which consist of two individual verbs. I know you guys use phrasal verbs in place of them. Thinking of the phrasal verbs would help you to understand the Korean complex verb.

Thanks, my Korean isn't very good actually. I have to look up most of the words, I write these diaries to practice grammar more than anything else.

You can use it as a reply, it means, "I agree" or "affirmative", but to be honest, it's not used very often these days, it was much more common in the 90's

배경조사를 기다리는 동안 직업을 구했어요.

언제 내 배경조사를 들어왔을 때 그것과 내 졸업장을 증명한 상태가 돼요.
내 배경조사를 받고 나면, (그것을 받고?) 내 졸업장을(or 학위를) 증명받아야 했어요 (I'm not confident I get it. I took it to mean "Once I got my background check, I had to get it and get my diploma certified." If I mistook it, sorry...^^;)

그 다음 그 서류들과 계약서와 7사진과 여권 사본을 고용주한데 보냈어요.
