After seeing the exhibitions at Bridestone museum of art,I found a nice cafe.
I like to enjoy high tea, so I know lots of hotel lounges and cafes.
However, most of them are expensive. It is my special treat for myself.

When I got a glimpse of the sign, I couldn`t believe my eyes.
It said "You can enjoy the 2 kinds of high tea. High tea A:￥700. High tea B:￥900."
Generally speaking, it cost you between ￥2000 to ￥3600 in Tokyo if you order high tea in Tokyo.
I`ve never seen such a cheap one before.
I decided to try to get it.

It was too cheap so I worried about the quality a little, but it was nice.
I chose high tea A, sandwichs and scone with jam and clotted cream.
I felt ease when I saw the scone, because some cafes provides custard instead of clotted cream,because it`s expensive.
It was full-blown high tea.
I ordered a pot of Darjeeling, my favorite tea.
I used to drink coffee well, but my stomach refured it these days.

The cafe was on the street level of the Pen museum.
Yeah, the pen maker carried on the cafe.
Pen and cafe...They have nothing in common,but it`s so unique.
If you have an opportunity to visit Kyobashi, why don`t you go there?

하네다 공항을 구경하로 갔다왔다.
작년 국제선 전문 터미널이 생기고 한번 가보고 싶었다.
근대적인 빌딩안에 전통적인 목조 건물이 있어서 아주 제밌는 공항이다.
그 목조 건물들 기념품집와 식당인데,다들 "일본스롭음" 을 의식하는 것이었다.
요즘 많아진 외국인 관광객에게서 생기는 수요을 생각했기 때문이다.
나쁘게 말하면 저속이지만, 나는 이런 집을 좋아한다.

안경, 가방, 옷등 다양한 전문점이 있었지만 내가 마음에 들었던 것은 수건집이다.
"후로시키"라고 하는 일본 수건은 가볍고 기념품으로 인기가 많다.
한국 보자기같은 것인데, 자수은 없고 보통 염색이다.
그러니까 보자기뿐만 아니라 손수건, 테이블 클로스등 여러가지 사용 방법이 있다.
보자기처롬 오래동안 케케목다고 생각되어 왔는데, 근년 생긴 "에코붐"덕분에 다시 주목을 받았다. 몇번도 쓸수 있는 후로시키는 지구 환경에 좋다고 한다.
나도 몇장 가지고 있는데 편리하다.

목조 건물이 있는 위층에는 만화와 아니메이션의 캐릭터 상품 전문점들이 있었다.
특히 헬로키티 물품을 파는 집은 인기가 많은 가봤다.
전통적인 것과 새로운 것을 같은 곳에서 살수 있어서 좋다.

하네다 항공은 나리타 항공보다 가까워서 의지가 될 것 같다.
하지만 국제선은 나리타 항겅이 훨씬 많다. 해외여행을 하려고 해도 싼 것은 아마 나리타발이
대부분이겠다...라고 생각을 했는데, 좋은 비행기가 있었다. 4월달에 태국까지 타녀 오겠어!!

I guided my friends from Thailand through Tokyo.
They were supposed to go to Tokyo Disney land with other party,but they were not interested in there. All they wanted to do in Tokyo was shopping, shopping and shoppong!!

We visited lots of stands along the street to the sensoji temple at first.
They bought many Japanese folk arts like Kokeshi-doll and paper fan.
It was a little expensive for Japanese, because it was souvenir for tourists.
But, they didn`t care about it at all. I couldn`t count how many times they took their credit card in and out.

After that, I introduced a nice cafe in Ueno at lunch time.
It was a Japanese style cafe.
I think there are many Japanse restaurants in foreign counry, but most of them get tempura, sashimi and shushi on the menu.
Actually, we usually don`t eat tempura and sushi at home.
On the oher hand, you can eat Japanse home cuisine there.
I supposed it was a good chance for them to eat real Japanese dishes.
I was glad to hear that they liked it.
Their dessert was shopping at the departmentstore where the cafe inside after all.

Next place was the main stage of the tour.
We went to "Ginza",the most fasionable street in Tokyo.
You can see various kinds of boutiques, departmentstores and restaurants.
Yah,it was their paradise. We went from shop to shop and bought many stuffs.
One of them was interested in chinaware and japan ware.
She took lots of cups, spoons and tea cup there.
The staff at the cash desk seemed to be surpirized to see the mountain of cups on the desk at first.
In addition, makeup stuffs, cashmere stole, perfume, boots and bags...
Their power and desire had no limits.
I sat at the sofa besides the wall and stared her with my stunned eyes.
I got tired and had a sore ankle.
Actually,I learned shopping was one of the most taugh sport.
They looked like the athlete at the departmentstore.

On the dinner time, we went to Ropppongi. I rarely visited there, but it was popular for cool restaurant, bar and club.
We decided the Japanese restaurant and enjoyed warm sake.
We talked a lot there. About job, love life, our countries and so on.
They are kind of shopping monster, but they were independent as one working woman. Their way of thinking was cool.
I felt the different about that point compare with typical Japanese woman.
More and more women are getting to go out working nowadays, but it`s not enough,I think.
They looked like the women at the "Sex and the city".

After the dinner? Of course, we enjoyed shopping at the mall!!

가게안에는 "○○불동산"아나 "○○약국"이나 "○○학원"등 한글로 써 있는 다양한 간판이 걸리고 있었어 미치 한국에 여행로 온 느낌이 들었다. 내가 몇번도 타녔던 "지하철 3호선 경복궁역"도 있었어 그리웠다.
한국스로운 것을 될 수 있는데로 많이 모았다고 하는 분위기라서 가게는 한국보다 한국스로웠다. 그러나 그 한국스로움이 오히려 부지연스럽고 신기한 인테리어였다.
메뉴는 삼겹쌀과 전, 계란부침처럼 대표적인 한식뿐만 아니라 "뉴역식 한국 감자 튀김"이나 "불고기 롤"가튼 창작한식도 있었다. 나는 한식을 평소 많이 먹는 편이지만 미국식 한식을 본적이 없어서 놀랐다. 제밌겠으니까 주문을 해봤는데 맛있었다. 하지만 역시 보통 한식만 못 했지만.
분위기도 맛도 좋운 이 술집. 이제 일본에 가자고 하시는 분은 한번 가보시면 어떨까.

그런데 친구 중에 한국 친구가 한면이 왔으니까 일기를 쓰면서 의문을 품은 질문들 많이 할 수 있었다. 예를 드면 "갔다왔다"와 "타녀왔다"의 차이등...
그리고 내가 일하는 호텔에서 언제나 한국 손님께 쓰는 한국말도 화깅해 봤다.
그러자 "이름"보다 "성함"이 더 정손한 말씨인줄 알고 "크레디트 카트"보다 "신용 카트"가 일방적인 표현이다고 하는 것도 알수 있었다.

이렇게 가끔 한국어로 일기를 쓰고 많은 첨삭을 받아서 좋은 도음이 되고 있는 것은 사실이다.
하지만 직접 모르는 점을 묻어볼 수 있으면 더 편리하다.
그리고 호텔 프런트에서는 한국말을 할줄 아는 사람이 나밖에 없기 때문에 내 한국말의 잘못을 자적해 주는 사람이 없어서 이런 친구는 의지가 된다.
"랭귀지 익스체인지"라고 하는 말이 생각났다. 한국말 잘 못 하는 일본사람과 일본어 잘 못 하는 한국사람이 소로 공부한다. 너무 제밌겠다.
오늘 만난 한국 친구는 일본어가 너무 잘하니까 그 친구보다 일본말이 잘 하지 않은 한국 친구를 소개해 준다고 한다.
뜻밖의 수확을 얻았던 신년회였다.

I sometimes take along with my puppy to the park and enjoy walking around.
There are lots of big parks around Tokyo. TV and newspaper often say that Tokyo has less parks than forein countries but I disagree with them.

Some parks have well-groomed dog run.
My puppy likes to take a walk, but I think it is the happiest for him to run as fast as possible without leash.
At a dog run,he can play with other dogs and learn how to communicate with them.
I can`t teach for him the way to get along with other dog, so a dog run is a kind of school for him.
And we are also able to talk with another owner and exchange the information about dog there.

If you find a nice park for dog and you, you would absolutely find dog-friendly cafe around there. It maight to be in requisition by neighbors.
I enjoy watching my puppy eating dog food with his whole heart while I eat delicious dish. It is nice to bring a book and enjoy reading there for a while though it looks a little boring for dogs.

My parents said there was no dog-run no dog-friendly cafe 10 years before.
It means it`s getting dog-free society more, I suppose.
I hope this change will keep from now on.
But, we must take care of the people around us. Some of them don`t like dogs.
I felt more and more selfish owners appeared thesedays.

외국인들이 많이 가는 것이라면 코쿄가 처음에 생각났다.
그러나 아마 제미 없을 것 같다고 생각한다. 경복궁은 국립 박물관이라서 안에 돌어갈 수가 있지만 지금도 천황이 사실고 있는 코쿄는 물런 구경할 수 없다. 경비적인 이유때문에 밖에서는 궁전이 전혀 안 보이고 큰 공원 같은 것이 있는 뿐. 마당에는 일방인도 갈 수가 있기는 있지만, 코쿄에 가본적이 있는 분은 아시고 있다고 생각하는데 구냥 자디밭이다.
실망시킬지도 모르겠지만 이것은 가기전에 설명해야 겠다.

그 다음에는 아사쿠사가 좋을 것 같다. 기년풍 집이 많아서 일본스러운 것을 사려고 하면 거기가 제일이지. 빨간 색 대제등은 충격을 줄 것 같다. 센소지 절에 참배하는 것도 제밌겠다.
문제는 아사쿠사에 있는 음식점은 다 삐산다고 하는 것이다. 인기가 있는 관광지이니까 어쩔수 없지만 길은 줄을 서서 많은 돈을 낼 기분이 아무리 하여도 될 수 없다.
아사쿠사보다 오히려 우에노에 가서 싸고 맛있은 식당을 찾아는 것이 좋을 것 같다.

그 친구는 도자기 수집이 취미이다고 들언 적이 있다. 쇼핑은 긴자에 있는 백화점에서 하기로 하자. 특히 "노리타케"를 좋아한다고 한다. 미쯔코시나 타카시마야등 여러 백화점을 안터넷으로 찾아봐봤는데 노리타케의 도자기를 다루는 곳은 마쯔야밖에 없었다. 그럼 마쯔야에 가자. 좀 오래돤 건물인데 괜찮지.

소핑은 과격한 운동중에 하나이니까 백화점을 구경한후에 카페에 가야지.
좋은 것이 있을까...찾아야 한다.

밤에 럿뽕기로 가면 "일본에 살고 있는 외국인"을 잘 볼 수가 있고 제밌겠다. 또한 술집도 많고.
좀 지안이 좋지 않은 것이 걱정이지만.
토쿄 타워을 보고 싶다고 말하지만 좀 먼 곳에서 보는 것이 직접 가는 것보다 예쁘게 보인다. 애당초 타워자체에 올라가면 어떻게 토쿄타워를 보는 것야? 럿뽕기 히르즈에서 보는 야경을 나는 좋아한다.

엇...이 일기를 쓰면서 관광 코스가 정해졌다. 바로 "일석이조"이다!

Put simply, all of the girls were first meet. I invited my co-workers, so none of them know each other.

I hosted the party, so I sent invitation mail to the participants and booked the restaurant. I was also in charge of money and MC of party on the day.
My first work at the restaurant was braking through the ice.
I am not shy at all, but generally speaking, people get nervous in front of new people. We had a somewhat strained conversation at first, but we shared a confidence each other as we drunk.
I guessed alcohol was the most powerful weapon to make people open up.
We completely got along with so I was glad so much.

Typically, the host of the mixer had no opportunity to meet because he(or she) needs to take care of the menbers well. There is no room to think which person is attractive, who looks to be interested in myself.
I was a typical host after all....
But, an E-mail was sent to my cell phone one girl.
I think something good thing will happen.

인현을 던지면 강아지는 기뻐해서 덤벼들어 왔다.
"하카세(강아지 이름),하지마~"라고 까줄으면서 말하는 나.
그리고 뒤로 나아가려고 하면...쿵 소리가 나면서 나는 소파에다가 넘어졌다.
뒤에 소파가 있는 줄 몰라서 엉덩이를 강타했다고 한 말이다.
말할수 없을 만큼 앞아서 번민하는 나과 그런 나를 핥는 강아지.
마치 진부한 코매디인 것 같았다.
그러나 본인은 30분동안 아픈 엉덩이를 누르면서 소파에서 눕고 있었는데...

아픔은 금방 없어질 것이다고 생각하니까 병원에 안 갔고 2일 3일 지났는데, 전혀 좋아지지 않았다. 오히려 무딘 이픔이 계속했다.
정말이지 큰 일인것 같다고 근처에 있는 정형외과에 가봤다.
그 병원은 새롭고 멋진 건물안에 있었고 관내에는 클래식 음악이 흘렀고 대합실에는 열대어들이 큰 수조안에서 헤엄치고 있었다.
나는 엑스레이 검사와 MRI검사를 받았다. MRI검사는 처음 받았기때문에 좀신났다.
둥근 기계안에 점점 몸이 들어갈 때는 솔직히 제밌었다.

검사 결과는 역시 꼬리뼈에 금이 갔다고 했다. 의사선생님 말씀하시려면 "미골은 깁스를 붙일수 없는 곳에 있다. 그리고 약을 처방할 만큼 아픔이 심하지 않을 것 같다. 힘들겠지만 사 주일 동안 아무 것도 하지 않고 상태를 보는 것이 좋아".
요컨대 어쩔 수 없다고 한 말이다.

자, 생각보다 중상이 아니였고 의자에 앉을 때마다 아프지만 일도 할수 있다.
불행중 다행이다고 생각하자마차 진짜 불행이 생겼다.

(접수 여성): 시마네님. 모두 ￥7250입니다.

(나) : !? !? !? !?

치료법이 없고 약도 안 난다. 구냥 사진을 찍었던 뿐이다.
급료닐 직선. 다음 날은 회사 선배와 미팅...

나는 마지막으로 치명적인 타격을 접수의 예쁜 누나에서 받았다.

I sometimes feel like to go a long way.
It is excited to see around the place where I don`t know at all.
The people I meet, the culture I learn and the event I experience...
Everything is tresure.

I went to Kobe alone by midnight bus last week.
It was the first time to visit there.
Of course, there were no friends no ideas where to go.

...Well, I told a lie. Actually,I went through into the Internet and looked about Kobe before my visit.
I was a kind of organized person,so I could`t help without planning the trip perfectly. I put together a list of the places and I visited along the list. Reality wasn`t such as romantic thing.

Kobe was a fantastic city. I enjoyed watching various great sights and eating local specialties.
Kobe was especially well-known as the window to Western world for a long time ago, so I could see lots of interesting things,for example a mosque, foreign residences and western dishes.
It was certain that Kobe is a part of Japan, but I felt an exotic atmosphere.

Some people say,"It is too lonely to visit to the unknown land alone".
But,I don`t think,so. It is fun to share the movement and experience with other person, but solo travel has its own spark. It`s comfortable to visit I want to go without thinking about traveling companion.
I like both of the style.

I got 2 days holiday next month. I`m looking for the next place to visit now.

고속 버스를 탔고 코베여행에 갔다왔다.
고베는 중국가나 야경, 양식등 많은 볼 거리가 있지만, 내 목족은 하나이었다.
그것은 "양관 구경" 이다. 여코하마처롬 일본에서 먼저 소양화를 한 도시라서 시내에는
지금도 역사적인 소양풍 건축물이 많이 남하고 있다.
나는 이런 건물을 보는 것을 무엇보다도 좋아한다.
현대 건출물보다 모습이 귀엽고 따뜻한 느깜도 든다. 그리고 전쟁과 지진에 지지 않고 계속 존제해 온 건물등에는 성스러운 분위기조차 있다.

향구근처에는 근대적인 콘크리트 빌딩들이 많았고, 북쪽에 있는 산 주변에는 예쁜 목조 주택들을 볼 수가 있었다. 코베에 있는 이런 건물들은 나라가 아니라 민간 회사가 관리하고 있는 것이 많다.
그레서 구경비기 좀 비싸지만, 요코하마보다 현존 수도 많았고 보존 상태도 좋았다.
투시를 받는 돈이 아주 큰다고 하는 것이다. 그리고 활용법도 제미있다.

예을 드면 100년전에 독일 부호가 만들었던 집은 지금 스타벅스로 이용되고 있다.
오래된 집이 지니는 독특한 분위기가 젊은이 문화의 대표인 스타벅스에 왠지 잘 어울린다.
독일 사람 떠나가서 페허가 될 예정였던 집이 코베에서 가장 인기가 있는 카페중에 하나로 변핬다.

사실은 이 집은 1995년에 일어난 대지진때문에 완전히 부서졌던 건물였다.
일단 해체하기로 했는데 많은 시민들이 반대해서 북완되었다고 한 말이다.
코베시민이 어느 정도 양관들을 중영하게 생각해온 것을 잘 알수 있는 이야기다.

시간이 되면 거리 모습이 변하는 것은 당영하다.
그러나 도시가 하나씩 가지는 분위기를 생각하면서 도시게획을 하는 중영성을 코베는 가르처 줬다. 토쿄도 코베를 본받아야 겠다고 생각했다.

How did you spend the moment of turning new year?

As for me,it was one of the worst day in my life.
I worked the night shift at my hotel on 30th November.
It was just tragedy to work during the new year holiday season.
I gazed with jealous eyes to poeple enjoying their holidays.
Besides, I had a 38 degree fever, sore throat and felt sick.
I tried to pritend to be fine, but I couldn`t control runny nose.
When a guest came to the front desk,I bowed down my greeting as usual.
But I felt something wrong. I bent down my head at first and I saw something fell in drops on the front counter!
It was the top seacret between the guest and me.

On the next early morning,New Year's Eve,I made one of the biggest mistake since I began to work at this hotel.
It was totally because of me,so I became deflated about it.
I got fed up with myself, New year and everything.
At that time,reception phone rang wildly. I answered the phone on the first ring and asked how could I help her.
She said,"My husband got sick and vomit on the bed. Could you bring some medicine and change the bedclothes?"
I answered,"Sure.I`ll be with you in a moment,ma'am".
On the way to the room with new sheet and medicine,I asked again and again.
"Jesus,did I do anything bad?" and "The person who desire medicine is here!"

When I got home after the busy night, my mom prepared the fancy meal for the New Year. I felt sorry for her,but I couldn`t eat them at all because I was too tired and felt bad. I flied myself down on the bed and slept until the first morning of the new year. That`s why I didn`t remenber the moment of turning new year.

It was certain that this new year was awful day, but I realized that I could tell it as funny story now.
My friends enjoyed this story and laughed to tears at the part of bearing off my contagious vomiting to smell the stuff on the bed.
I`m satisfied with that. The worst New Year day could only go so far.

호텔 프런트에서 같이 일하고 있는 선배가 좋다고 하는 카페에 갔다왔다.
토쿄 역 바로 앞에 있는 이 카페는 "마르젠(丸善)" 라고 하는 서점 4층에 있는데, 큰 유리 창문에서는 JR선 선로를 잘 볼수가 있어서 전망이 아주 좋았다.
기차를 좋아하는 전철남같은 사람에게는 거기는 마치 "성지"다고 할 수가 있겠다.

유락초(有楽町)에 있는 크리스마스 마켓에서 간단한 식사를 했다가 왔기때문에, 얼 그레이 티와 레몬 시브스트만 주문했다. 레몬 시브스트는 레몬 열매를 하나 통째로 쓴 유니크한 디저트이며 껍질안에 달콤새콤한 크렘이 듬뽁 차 있었다. 그 크렘이 감귤류의 향기가 나는 얼 그레이 티와 잘 어울려서 맛있었다.

그런데 레몬은 마르젠와 깊은 관계가 있대. 1925년에 소설가인 카지이 키이치로가 "레몬"라고 하는 소설을 출판했다. 그 이야기 중에 주인공이 마르젠에서 필리고 있었던 화집위에다가 근처에 있는 과일집에서 사온 레몬을 놓는 장난을 한 자면이 있다. 이 소설은 아주 유면하고 고등학교 국어 교과서에 꼭 게재되고 있다고 한다.
레몬 시브스트는 마르젠이 이 소설과 창업 140년을 기녕해서 특별하게 만드는 매뉴이다.
그런 설면문을 읽으면 달콤새콤한 맛 뿐만 아니라 역사의 맛도 느꼈다.

그 나중에 마르젠에서 양서를 샀다. 물런 다 영어로 쓰여 있으니 읽기 좀 어렵지만, 그것도 좋은 훈련다고 생각한다. 2011년이 될 기전에는 타 읽보고 싶지만, 아마 못할 것 같다.

Merry Christmas and happy new year. How was your Christmas?

It is common to celebrate Christmas Eve with sweetheart at a fancy place in Japan. Eve is more important for most of Japanese couples, but I don`t know why.
However, I tried to do in the Eurorean style this year.
I kept staying home with my family, have a nice Christmas dinner, and enjoyed a conversation with a glass of wine.
I had such a nice Christmas, but people maight say that it was a kind of lonley.
I didn`t desire a girl friend at all,Santa Claus. I had a cute puppy!

I opened my big mouth...but if I got roped ,I would make a reservation for a luxury hotel room and have dinnder with her at a French diner.
It is comfortable to keep our majority status.

I visited a Christmas market on the Christmas morning.
It have been popular among Tokyo people to go and see the European style Christmas market since last year.
Strasbourg tourist agency backed up the chrismas market this year.
That`s why all of the store staffs, goods, and menu were French.
I bought a piece of quiche and a glass of hot wine. I liked it, but I thought it was not meet the tastes of Japanese. One guy said "I like KFC pie better than quiche." But,they didn`t care about it, because the Christmas market was popular and cool.

They imported Christmas as the holiday for couples like Valentine for a long time ago.
Now they are trying to familiarize Christmas market as a cool market.
Halloween as a kind of cosplay party became common among the family who has a little child thesedays.
I guess we Japanese would make an occasion of Thanksgiving and Independence Day of USA someday.

Ha...I act like a bear today. I`m working at a hotel where the busiest place during the Christmas season. And I handled for more than 220 couple`s check out this afternoon.

서울 유학 시절 친구와 같이 망년회를 했다.
그 친구들을 마지막에 만난지 3년이 되었으니까 진짜 오래간만의 만남이였다.
회장은 요쿄하마 차이나 타운에 있는 중국집이였다. 차이나 타운에는 몇번 가본 적이 있고 식사도 했는데 저녁밥을 먹는 것은 사실은 처음이었다. 차이나 타운에 있는 중국집은 보통 고급식당이라서 못 갔기 때문이다.
하지만 거기는 식사하면서 술을 마셔도 한면이 약￥4000이니까 너무 쌌다.
코스요리가 아니였지만 배가 부를 만큼 많이 먹을 수 있었다.

3년이 되면 변하는 것도 많다. 남자친구와 해어진 사람도 있고 새로운 남자친구와 사귀시작한 사람도 있다. 전직한 사람도 있다. 특히 우리 연대는 결혼하는 사람이 요즘 많으니까 "난 내년 결혼할 거야" 라고 하는 말을 들 것 같아서 두근거리면서 이야기했는데,행인지 불행인지 모르겠지만 아직 그런 사람이 없었다.
난 심장이 강하는 편이 아니라서 갑자기 빅뉴스를 들려고 하면 준비가 빌요하다.
그러니 3년에 한번이 이나리 더 만나야 겠다. 내 가슴때문에 뿐만 아니라 구리운 사람을 잘 보는 것은 기쁜 것이지 않아?
시년회를 언제 할까 지금 계획하고 있다.

I went to the movie with my family.
It was a kind of Samurai movie based on the famous story named "Chu-shin-gura(忠臣蔵)".
Chu-shin-gura was well-known real revenge killing by 47 Samurai in the 17th century.
This movie was the story after 16 years later of the affair.

47 samurai committed suicide with harakiri after Chu-shin-gura, but 2 of them survived for the mission actually.
One lived to inform for bereaved families how they were brave.
The other lived to bring up the leader`s seacret daughter.
Their mission were top seacret, so they didn`t know that they were survived each other.

The story was interested and unique, because most of the Chu-shin-gura movies depict the killing itself. On the other hand, you couldn`t come across the carnage scene very much on this movie. It was not an action movie but a human drama.
I was moved to see the samurai managed to raise the daugher in obscurity and guard her from outside world, because she was the daughrt of the famous rebel.
The scene of her marriage was also compelling. She thanked him for his kindness for 16 years.
She loved him but she understood it was impossible to get together.

But I couldn`t accept the last 15 minutes.
He committed suicide with harakiri after his big mission.
Before her marriage, she made a kimono dress for him with her feeling of gratitude. He died with that dress.
Hum... I couldn`t understand Samurai sprit after all.
It`s crazy.
Without that scene, it was a great movie. But,I don`t feel like watching it again. It put a nasty taste in my mouth.

회사 선배 네 사람과 같이 요코하마로 드라이브했다 왔다.
아침에 우리 집 근처에 있는 렌터카십에서 프리우스를 빌리고 선배집으로 마중 나갔다.
선배 두면은 아홉시까지 야근이라서 토쿄역 앞에서 만나기로 했다.

먼저 수족관에 갔다. 그 선배는 네리마에서 살고 있는데, 지하철로 가면 좀 멀다.
하지만 자동차로 가면 30분도 결리지 않았다. 생각보다 너무 가까워서 놀랐다.
"이렇게 가까우니까 다음에는 네 집으로 놀로 갈게" 라고 말했던 선배는 이 날에서 5날 후에 진짜 왔다.

토쿄 역에서 졸립게 보이는 선배 두면을 태우고 고속도로를 질주했다.
평일이라서 비고 있었다. 역시 평일에 고속도로를 이용하는 게 좋다.


먼저 수족관에 갔다. 여름에도 수족관에 갔는데, 거기가 아니라 더 큰 곳이다.
그 수족관에는 제일 큰 수조안에 터널이 있고, 360도 펼쳐지는 푸른 공간이 너무 아름다웠다.
제일 인상에 남았던 것은 백금이다. 일점을 계속 술프게 보고 있는 이 백금씨...
그에 무순 일이 생겼는지 모르겠지만, 우리는 그런 백금을 보고 엉겁결에 "백금씨, 힘 내세요!" 라고 외쳤다.

그 다음에 같은 구에 있는 아웃렛 쇼핑 몰에서 쇼핑을 했다. 나는 이전부터 필요하다고 생각해온 양말만 샀는데, 여자들이 대단했다. 내가 사기전에 한달동안 고민할 것 같은 비싼 것을 서슴없이 많이 샀다. 관내는 그리스마수 분위기 일색이었다. 예쁜 장식, 행복하게 지나가는 커플들...
나 같은 애인이 없는 세 면과 그 당일 아침 일찍에 해어진 여자친구가 집을 떠나갔던 한면은 이런 모습을 차가운 시선으로 보고 있었다.

회사 선배와 이렇게 놀아가는 것은 처음이였는데, 노무 재밌었다.
여자 친구가 없어도 나에게는 그 사람들이 있다!ㅋ
다시 어디 가고 싶구나.

I had to dust out all of them before moving at first.
I`ve not cleaned my room up for more than one week,so I did a major housecleaning.

I also sorted out garbage from a pile of stuffs. Actually,it was hell the best.
Major quantity of the books like taxtbook that I used to read when I went to school.
The rusty globe my dad gave me as the birthday present for a long time ago.
I would never use them again, but I was emotionally attached to.

After boxing up all of them, I felt good.
In Japan, there is a habit that clean the house at the end of a calendar year.
It is a best season to change and organize something now.
Why don`t you rearranged your room?

오랜만에 온천에 잠기려고 하코네에 있는 온천 여관에 갔다왔다.
예전에는 옛날 여자 친구와 같이 갔는데 이번에는 혼자서 갔다.
아직 온천여관에 혼자서 숙박하는 것은 일반적이 아니라소 여관 찾기가 조금 힘들었지만, 여즘 혼자서 가는 사람도 많아져서 "한분 특별 숙박 플랜"라고 하는 것이 있는 여관이 있었어 가보기로 했다.

자신만의 방, 자신만의 요리, 그리고 자신만의 온천....바로 표현할수 없을 만큼의 사치이었다.
온천수는 유백색이며 피부에 좋다고 한다. 유황 냄새가 좀 나고 몸을 온천에 담글 때마나 피부가 매끈먜근 하는 것을 느꼈다. 무엇보다도 목욕간을 전세 낼수가 있었던 것이 아주 좋았다.
요리는 직원이 방으로 옮겨와줬다. 많은 사람이 있는 식당에서 혼자서 식사하지 않도록 생각해 주었던 여관의 친절이 기뻤다.하코네는 산도 바다도 가까워서 산과 바다 양쪽의 맛있는 음식을 먹을 수 있는 낙원이다.

지난 여름에 어느 고급 호텔에서 혼자서 묵었을 때는 외롭다고 느낄 때도 있었는데,온천여관에서는 그런 기분이 하나도 안 되었다. 보고 싶는 텔레비전 드라마도 있었고 집에서 무라카미 하루키의 소설도 가지고 와니까 심심할 때가 거의 없었다. 그리고 만약게 지루해지면 온천에 가면 좋지.
하루만 잤는데 온천에는 다섯번도 갔다. 그 덕분에 피부는 아직도 곱다.

요금은 ￥15000이니까 조금 비싸게 보이지만, 보통 혼자서 묵어도 2면분 지부해야 하는 것을 생각하면 결국 득을 보았다고 말할수 있다.
내가 좋아하는 미술관도 가까운 이 여관...앞으로 가끔 타니자고 생각한다.

He was my co-worker of the cafe I used to work when I went to college.
After graduating,I began to work at a normal company.
Besides, he didn`t find a job and keep working at the cafe as a part time job.
He had a big dream to be a singer.
Since then, I often visit his concerts.

It was certian that I was a big fan of him. I liked his songs and his voice itself.
But,I guess that I might get jealous against him a little at that time.
He was not rich, but he was doing what he wanted.
On the other hand, I had to work that I couldn`t like...

After all,I quited my job and decided to chase my dream to work at a hotel.
I`m working at a hotel now, but I`m half-baked in the job. I have lots of things to learn. So both of us were just realizing each dream.

I heard a proverb "Hopers go to hell". But I don`t think,so.
He is a talented singer, I guess. And I`m working hard everyday to make my dream come true.

오래간만에 대학교 친구를 만났다.
대학교를 졸업한지 3년이 되었고 우리는 서로 다른 진로를 나아가고 있다.
그 날에 만났던 친구 중에는 대기업에서 맷일 밤 늦게까지 열심히 일하고 있는 친구도 있고 기업을 일으키시작한 친구도 있다. 나 같은 경우는 아르바이트이지만, 옛날부터 하고 싶어 왔던 일을 하며 날마다 충실감을 느낀다.
우리가 졸업을 했을 때는 이런 모습을 누가 상상할수 있었을까?

보통 최직한지 3념 되면 많은 변화가 생긴다.
예를 들면 처음 전직의 평균 년수는 최직한지 3년이다. 그리고 다른 회사 아니라도 같은 회사의 지방지사로 전근가는 사람도 많다. 여자이라면 결혼도 있겠지.
이런 생활 스타일 변화를 느껴도 우리는 구냥 멸심히 살아야하는 말이다.
변화가 무서운 게 아니다. 오히려 필요하는 것이다.
그러나 조금만 외럽다. 언제까지나 우리는 아름다운 기억 속에 있는 그대로 있을 수가 없으니까.

그런 것을 생각하면서 술을 마셨는데, 친구들이 여전히 내 앞에서 바보같은 이야기하면서 웃고 있었다. 그러자 좀 기뻤다. 앞으로도 아무리 생활이 변하면도 그 사람자신이 바뀌지 않는 것을 기원하면 맥주를 다 마셔 버렸다.

It is the best season to view the autumn leaves in Tokyo now.
I went to the Ginkgo festival at Aoyama on my day off.
The ginkgo tree along Gaien Street is one of the most famous sights.
Every year,various people come to see this beautiful yellow leaves.
They were enjoying taking a photo, walking under the tree and picking up a leaf.

Aoyama is well known for fancy cafes,too.
Some people had a tea break just in front of the gorgeous yelow carpet.
I also went into a cafe for brunch, but I refrained from sitting on the a patio seat.
It was a little cold to eat outside. I ordered salad plate and I liked it.
It is the last day in November today. Onset of a full-fledged winter is coming soon.

외할머니 집근처에 인기 많은 도그 카페가 생겼다고 들어서 우리 강아지를 데리고 가봤다.
일층이 미용실이며 이층이 트리머, 그리고 도그 카페가 있었다.
그 동네는 신흥 주택지라서 페트를 기르는 집이 많고 이런 새로운 생활 스타일을 좋아하는 사람이 많은가봐.
평일이지만 자리는 손남으로 메워지고 있었다.

카패에는 마당이 있고 거기에서 강아지를 놓아 주면서 식사할수 있었다.
예의 범절이 바른 강아지라면 괜찮는데 우리 강아지는 너무 기뻐서 뛰어다녔기 때문에 야단이 났다.
평소도 침착성이 없지만, 그 날은 더옥더 심했다. 그러니 결국 언마가 무릎 위에서 안아야 했다.

메뉴는 인간용도 강아지용도 완전 유기 재배로 생산한 야채가 중심이고 맛있었다.
주말마다 근처에 있는 계약 농가에서 신선한 야채를 사들이고 시장이 열리다고 한다.
요즘은 가정 채원이 전국적으로 인기가 있으니까 농업에 대한 관심이 많아지고 있다.
내가 먹었던 요리안에도 사람들이 취미로 만들었던 유기 야채가 있었는지 모르겠다.

우리 집 근처에는 이런 멋이 있는 카페가 없다.
반세기전부터 경치가 거의 변하지 않은 동네에 도그 카페가 생길때은 먼 미래인것 같다...

I went drink with my juniors of college.
Thay graduated our college last March and began to work.
They were what is called "fresh graduate".
It was about 8 months since they started working,so they said they understand their jobs a little. They maight find joy and aggrievement about work.
Our life is stressful, but I think it is not so bad.
I hate boring stressless life instead. Any way,I hope their success.

By the way, the subjest at the center of our talks was "love life".
They claimed there were few chances to meet compare with their campus life.
I agreed with them.
Almost all of the guests staying my hotel are couples and middle-aged businessmen.
Least of all,I wouldn't go out with my co-worker.
One of the juniors said that he joined matchmaking party very often.
I didn`t like going such kind of party before,but the Christmas was coming.
I asked him to invie the next party.

The next morning,I got an invitation mail of the party from him.
I`m a happy to have a can-do junior.

신데렐라 세계관을 이미지한 레스토랑에서 나와 친구의 합동 생일 파티를 했다.
우리 남자들이 가기 싫다고 했지만,가게를 잦았을 때 아무 의견 나지 않았던 내가 나빠서 어쩔 수 없다.

식당 입출구에 가면 먼저 직원이 "왕자님 공주님 어서 오십시오"라고 미소 짓면서 마중해 줬다.
현관에서 신데렐라 세계가 있으니 놀았고, 나는 웃을 수 밖에 없었다.

점내 인테리어는 흰색과 분홍색을 통일된고 있고 천장에는 샹들리에가 늘어져 있었다.
멱시 프린세스 월드...손남은 90%가 여자들이었다.
다리가 고양이 다리처럼 생긴 앤티크풍 의자에 앉아면서 남자들이 몸이 오그라드는 경험을 했다.

요리가 나왔다. 다글 모습이 예쁘고 맛이 있었다. 이 식당이 왜 인기가 많은지 알아졌다.
신데렐라 모습을 모방한 먹을 수 있는 장식.
동화에 나오는 소인 얼굴을 그린 피자.
이 식당을 만들었던 사람은 진짜 신데렐라를 좋아했나봐.
또한 요리 하나씩 재미있는 이름이 있었다.
예를 들면 "거울야 거울,세계에서 가장 예쁜 여자는 누구인가?"라고 하는 요리가 나왔는데 그것이 뭐인지 알아? 시저 샐러드이다! 프린세스 머리 속은 남자에게는 이해 못하는 것 같다.

후식은 생일파티이라서 버스데이 케이크를 주문했다.
그 케이크는 마차처럼 보이는 케이크인데 여자들이 "귀엽다!"라고 외치면서 기뻐했다.
그리고 생일 사람은 왕관과 티아라를 가게에서 빌리고 쓰는 것이 규칙인 것 같아서 나는 오래간만에 왕관을 썼다.
너무 부끄러웠지만, 즐기지 않으면 여기로 온 위미가 없다. 왕관을 쓰면서 사진을 많이 찍었다.
그러자 직원이 사직을 한장 찍고 그것을 인쇄해 줬다. 이것도 서비스인 것 같다.
지금 내 방 서가에 놓고 있는 사진틀에는 취해서 이상한 얼굴을 짓었던 내 모습이 있다.

돌아갈 때도 직원들이 "왕자님 공주님 안녕히 가세요"라고 소리 치면서 배웅해 줬다.
마치 아키하바라에 있는 메이드 카페같았다...
밖에 돌어왔을 때 현실 세계에 순응하기 위해 좀 시간이 걸렸다.

때로는 이런 동화같은 공간에서 꿈을 꾸면서 식사하는 것도 좋겠다.
인정하는 것이 싫지만,아주 재미있었다.

I went to a beauty shop on a holiday.
It might sound a little strang for American that a guy goes to a hair salon, but it is quite common thing in Japan. Instead,I have no friends who goes to a barber shop.
I`m a kind of lazy, so I got my hair cut dramatically short compared with usual.

By the way,I`ve changed my hair salon three times actually.
Because my favorite aesthetician moved his shop.
I`ve known him for 7 years, so he is almost my friend.
He is a barrel of laughs and I like to talk with him.
He gives counsel to me and I happy to listen to his moan during my hair cut.
I guess I visit there to talk with him not to have a haircut.

This hair care salon is located in Ginza,the most fancy place in Tokyo,so the charges are between ￥7000 and ￥10000 per one time haiecut.
But I can get the same service at ￥3900 through his kind offices.
He is the good help for saving money.

I enjoyed chatting with him as usal.
About one hour went by with a lighting speed.
I`ll visit there 2 months later, maybe.
Untill then, I need to think something intersting to talk with.

요즘 호텔에서 아침식사를 할 기회가 많다.
호텔 식당은 보통 저녁은 좀 값 비싸지만, 아침밥은 30000원 정도 있으면 먹을수 있으니
열심히 일하는 자기를 포상하려고 오는 사람이 있다고 들언 적이 있다.
나같은 경우는 그런 부자스러운 이유가 아니고, 라이벌 호텔이 어떤 음식와 식기를 제공하고
어떤 분위기인지를 조사하는 일때문에 왔는데.

27층에서 토쿄 절경을 보면서 식사할 수 있는 곳.
부엌이 보이는 오픈 키친 스타일을 채용하는 곳.
잡곡이나 두유처럼 몸한테 좋은 음식이 많은 곳.
몇 호텔 식당에 가봤는데 호텔마다 차이가 있었어 재미있다.

오늘은 내가 일하고 있는 호텔에 있는 식당에 갔다왔다.
지금까지 간 호텔 식당과 비겨하기 위한 것이다.

내가 일하고 있는 호텔을 편애하는 것이 아니지만, 우리 호텔 식당은 좋다고 느겼다.
주스는 우리 호델이 더 여러 가지 종류가 있고 요리를 진열할 궁리도 많다.
먼지가 나오는 것을 저지하려고 접시 위에다가 뚜껑이 있는 것은 위생적이라서 좋다.

그러나 개선점도 있다.
평반의 모습이나 일식 요리 지열법등 보고서에 써야 하는 것이 많다.
아주 힘들겠지만, 우리 호텔 서비스 향상시키기 위한 것이다.
열심히 써야지?

I showed up my friend`s wedding party.
The bride was one year ahead of mine in college, and belonged to the same major and same club as me.
We had a lot in common, so we were on good terms.
That`s why I was glad her wed as if my sister got marrige.

I`ve been known her for more than 5 years, but I didn`t know that she was such a beautiful woman.
Her pink dress looked nice on her.
At the head table,she sat beside her bridegroom with a happy look. Her face was very someone`s wife.
I felt lonely a little.
But,she was her who I knew well without a doubt.
Becauase she ate a lot while she took up about her tight corset!

By the way, I filmed an advertisement in the subway on my way to the restaurant.
The ad said "Good sleep bleeds a success." It means in an indirect sense of Japanese language, "Good sleep makes a baby". I felt this blue jokes was funny.
However,this was no joke. She was having a baby!
Of course I didn`t know that when I took this photo.
Besides, this commercial message was their work site`s!!!
Is this just a chance?

The party was excellent and it became my memorable event.

친구와 아침까지 집에서 술을 마신 다음에 야근을 해서 약 이틀동안 못 잤던 아침.
나는 무거운 몸을 질질하면서 가족과 같이 중국행 비행기를 탔다.
회위 여행을 가는 것은 1년만이라서 피곤했지만 너무 신났다.

"계림" 라고 하는 지방에 갔는데, 산수화가튼 아름다운 경치가 새계적으로 유면한 곳이다.
솔직히 나는 상하이로 가보고 싶었는데 부모님이 바쁜 도시보다 느긋한 시골이 좋다고 했다.
나이가 많은 분들이 그렇게 생각하는 것 같아서 유람선에 탄 사람은 대부분이 할아버지과 할어니이었다.
그러나 웅대한 경치는 젊은이에게도 감동을 줬다. 강 양쪽에 솟는 산들 이승에 있는 것이 아니다고 느낄 만큼 신비적이었다. 그리고 동물이나 인간의 모습처럼 보이는 것도 많고 상상력을 자극되었다.
사실은 나는 이것과 똩같은 풍경을 본적이 있다. 내가 어렸을 때 푹발적인 인기를 얻었던 만화 드래건볼이다. 역시 만화에 나온 소원을 이뤄 주는 용을 만날수 가 없었지만 우리가 살고 있는 지구가 어느 정도 크고 거기서 뿜내는 이간이 어느 정도 작은지를 알아지고 좋았다.

계림은 강놀이뿐만 아니라 잡기단이나 동굴등 명소가 많이 있지만, 제일 인상적이었던 곳은 슈퍼마켓이다. 나는 세계 여기적이 여행했는데,그 나라의 문화과 습관을 알수 있는 곳은 선물가게가 아니고 슈퍼마켓이다. 또한 슈퍼마켓에 있는 운식은 보통 관광객한테 연업하는 집보다 맛있는 것이 많다. 그래서 나는 여행을 통해서 친하졌던 가이드와 같이 슈퍼마켓을 구경했다.
진열되고 있는 과자 중에 일본 회사 것이 있는 것을 보면 왠지 기뻐지고,남비가 일본 것보다 깊은 것, 일본에서는 인기가 없는 빨간 색 옷이 중국에서는 인기가 있는 것등 여러 가지 볼 수 있어었어 재미 있었다.

회외 여행은 역시 가지 않으면 안 된다. 중국에 가서 더 사물을 보는 시야가 넓어 졌던 것 같다.
다음에는 어디 갈까...우선 같이 오주는 사람을 찾아야 겠지만.

My friends held the birthday party for me.
To tell the truth,I could`t sleep at all on the previous day.
Because, my body's internal clock conformed to night shift completely.
I had a slight cold, a headache and a sore throat.
In addition to that,I had to work the night on the next day.

But, who care? My precious friends devoted so much time to my birthday party.
Some of them came from the local city by Shinkansen, I heard.
I was glad a lot to know that they came to see from all over Japan.

The place was a stylish wine bar.
It was famous for "outlet wine", so you can try high rank wine at a low price.
I knew this bar because I watched the TV program which introduce there before.
And I had always wanted to go there. Jackdaw always perches by jackdaw.
All of my friends love to drink wine!

After we drunk wine so much, we glided from the wine bar to my home.
My room was the best place to drink among us.
Scarcely we ran in the supermarket to buy some cheap beer when we go to the station.
What a joyful time it was! We acted our shoe size as if we were college students. One more friend joined to our party then.

He baked the birthday cake and brought it along.
There was a cute painting drown by suger on the top.
He was a good cook.
Generous wine, artistic cake and best friends...
It was an excellent birthday party.

누나 결혼 선물을 사러 간자에 다녀왔다.
그 누나가 홍콩사람이라서 뭐 일본스러운 것이 좋았고 미국에 살고 있으니 항공편으로 보내면도 괜찮은 튼튼하고 가벼운 것이 사고 싶었다.
백화점을 여기저기 구경해서 결국 젓가락을 선물하기로 했다.
일본에서는 결혼 선물로 젓가락을 보내는 습관이 옛날부터 있다.
일상적으로 쓰는 일용품이니까 받는 사람이 기뻐하고,하나님이 주신 음식과 사람을 잇는 젓가락은 신성한 힘이 있다고 믿어져 왔기 때문에 부적으로써 인기가 많다.
그 홍콩누나는 한국분와 결혼한다고 한다. 국제 결혼은 힘들 때도 많을지도 모르겠지만 오래오래 행복하면 좋겠다.

그런데 찾아보면 나라마다 선물에 문화가 있을 것 같다.
예를 드면 누나의 나라인 중국에서는 시계가 "죽음"과 같은 소리이라서 선물로 주지 말라고 한다.
일본에서는 전혀 문제가 없지만 사지 않았어서 다행이다.
또한 일본에서는 도자기등 갈라질 가능성이 있는 것은 결혼할 사람에게 불길하기 때문에 안 된다.
나는 그 터부를 몰라서 친구 결혼 선물로 덴마크왕실 어용 도자기 메이커인 로열 코펜하겐의 이어 플레이트를 샀다. 또한 그 친구는 내 옛날 여자친구...아무 속마음이 없어서 골랐는데 잠새 의식이 나왔다고 하는 것일까.
그리고 서양에서는 "선물 영수증"라고 하는 제도가 있다. 이것은 가격이 써 있지 않는 리시트이다. 만약에 선물을 받는 사람이 그 선물이 마음에 드지 않으면 선물을 팔았던 가게에 가고 선물과 상품권을 교환할수 있다고 한다. 역시 서양스런운 합리적인 시스템이지만, 일본에서는 이것은 최대급의 모욕적인 행위이 틀림없다.

받을 사람 미소를 상상하면서 선물을 고르는 것은 세계공통이다.
하지만 이만큼 문화차이가 있구나. 외국친구에세 뭐 선물할 때는 조심해야 겠다.
