Seoul.. and problem

I've been looking carefully everything I'm passing by, in my city.
I'm going to leave for Britain to study ...
So I've thought I have to be able to introduce and explain about things of Korea.
I'd thought about things I know about my country.
I haven't known well about my country, which is so shameful, I think.
So at least only about place I'm living, I need to know and learn.

There are so many people who even don't know the existence of "Korea". So are people who don't have interests about.
And There are some people thinking that "Seoul" is all of Korea.
Needless to say, Seoul is beautiful and active city, so I'm very proud of it.
BUT, Seoul is a part of Korea, not ALL. Many people, even Korean living in Seoul and vicinities, are thinking like that.
And also our government almost develop and support the Metropolitan.
It's so undesirable.(I'm citizen living in the Metropolitan. Don't misapprehend me as a countryman to say these things.. with a sense of inferiority.)

영국에 어디에 공부 하러 갈러에요? 전 영국 사람인데요.
You are right that lots of people don't know about Korea, especially in the UK. These days more people are becoming interested in Korea, especially because of Korean movies in the UK. When I was a student (at Southampton University) my friends were all big fans of the movie 'old boy'. I like it too :)
Good luck with your trip! You should be proud of your country and try and introduce lots of people to Korean culture ^^
