쉽은 형용사
안녕하세요 ^^
오늘은 쉽은 형용사를 공부해요.
Today I'm going to study some easy adjectives.
My vocabulary is really really limited, as I've mostly been studying grammar so far.
시작할까요!
Let's begin!
그녀는 착한 친구예요.
She's a really kind friend.
뜨거운 커피하고 아이스 커피 중에서 어느게 더 좋아해요?
Which do you prefer, hot coffee or ice coffee?
이 문제 정말 쇱네요.
This problem is really easy.
이 책은 이상하고, 그 책은 재미있고, 저 책은 너무 길라요.
This book is strange, that book is funny, and that book over there is too long.
네 모자는 진짜 멋있네!
Your hat is really cool!
네, 재 우산은 노라고 빨갑습니다.
Yes, my umbrella is yellow and red.
그는 재미있어요. 그는 또한 커요.
He is funny. He is also large.
(Just trying this out as an alternative way of adding adjectives)
The list of adjectives I'm trying to memorize are:
높다, 낮다, 크다, 작다, 많다, 적다, 착하다, 빠르다, 느리다, 쉽다, 어렵다, 재미있다, 지루하다, 뜨겁다, 차갑다, 따뜻하다, 시원하다, 아름답다, 웃기다, 예쁘다
그런데 질문 있어요:
What is the difference between 아름답다 and 예쁘다? Are both used for both inanimate and living things?
That's it for today.
Tomorrow I'll practice some 쉽은 동사, to try to extend my vocabulary a bit more. :)
감사합니다!

오늘은 쉬운 형용사를 공부해요.
뜨거운 커피하고 아이스 커피 중에서 어느걸 더 좋아해요?
이 문제 정말 쉽네요.
이 책은 이상하고, 그 책은 재미있고, 저 책은 너무 길어요.
니 모자는 진짜 멋있네!
네, 제 우산은 노랗고 빨갔습니다.
또한 그는 키가 커요.
I think '아름답다' is like 'beautiful' and '예쁘다' is like 'pretty'.
네, 제 우산은 노랗고 빨갛습니다.
I was really unsure what to do about those ㅎ! >_<
잘 쓰셨어요. 방학 시작했어요? :)
쉽다->쉬운+noun (ex 쉬운 문제)
어렵다->어려운 (어려운 문제)
춥다->추운(추운 날씨, 추운 방)
덥다->더운(더운 날씨)
뜨겁다->뜨거운 (뜨거운 커피)
차갑다->차가운 (차가운 물)등등
I'm currently on break until the 16th. :) How about you?
도와줘서 고마워요!
It's still difficult for me to change the form of adjectives and verbs. ><
You mean January 16th? That is pretty short, I think.
I'm still working of course...lolㅠ_ㅠ
Changing the form of verb is tricky.
But you will get used to it.:))
파이팅!
Do you know about "ㅂ irregular / ㅂ 불규칙"?
I think you can find a solution why '쉽은' is wrong form from the following link.^^

Thanks for the link, I'll listen to the lesson again.
오늘은 쉬운 형용사를 공부할 거예요.(I referred to your Engligh sentence)
뜨거운 커피하고 아이스 커피 중에서 어느 게 더 좋아요?(or 어느 걸 더 좋아해요?)
이 문제 정말 쉽네요.
이 책은 이상하고, 그 책은 재미있고, 저 책은 너무 길어요.
네 모자는 진짜 멋있네!(or "네 모자 진짜 멋있다!" is a more natural. and "네" is right form, you don't have to change '네' to '니' )
네, 제 우산은 노랗고 빨갛습니다.
그는 덩치도 커요.(Ending '도 'implies meaning of 'also'. 덩치=build)
1. What is the difference between 아름답다 and 예쁘다?
아름답다 = beautiful
예쁘다 = pretty
They are similar but I think we tend to use 아름답다 in more anstract and serious cases.
2. Are both used for both inanimate and living things?
Oh, sure~^^
One thing that I found a bit odd though:
Isn't 멋있다 written form? I've heard people use it when speaking a lot of times (like 좋다 etc), but I'm not sure why that's okay.
Also, when using 네 like that it's pronounced 니, right?
<About written form>
Hmm I think Koreans don't distinguish among 'normal form','written form' or 'question form' using grammar. To distinguish them we just using 'question mark(?)' and 'exclamation mark(!)'. So I always feel difficult when I am making question sentences in English.^^
<about 니>
'내' and '네' sound exactly the same. Korean usually use '니' to distinguish '내' and '네'. It is the same reason the British pronounce "can't" as a "칸트".
But '니' isn't standard Korean. If you choose '니' as a correct answer on the Korean exam, you will be wrong. But if you were in informal situation, you can freely use '니'. But it is also kind of 반말. So you can use it only for very familiar terms. You can also find lots of '니' from Korean lyrics.^^
