The reason why I came to Cambridge.

When I chose what language school to go to, I didn't want to go any sountry in particular.
As long as I could study English and it was within budget, I didn't mind where I went.
I know there are a lot of countries where English is spoken and there are a lot of different accents and expressions.
But to be honest, I didn't understand what was different because I could't understand any English then.
So I thought English was the same all over.
My plan, if I graduate from my language school, is to go to college in the UK.
I will let nature take its course. That's how I came to Cambridge.
Even thought I didn't have any knowledge about the UK, I knew that Cambridge was known as a University City.
According to a rumour, there are a lot of universities there, plus it's very intelligent.
I didn't get very good grades in school, so it may be that I admire clever people.
So I decided to come to Cambridge. How a random.
I heard that the rows of house and streets were very beautiful but they're sort of not.
The houses and gardens here are beautiful, but there is a lot of chewing gum, litter and cigarettes on the streets.
When I compare how much litter there is in Cambridge to other places, there surelt a lot more in Cambridge.I feel sorry for it.
But I think Cambridge is a good place.
Not too large or too small, and there are a lot of parks and some wild animals.
I like it.
I'm happy that I came to Cambridge for this and that.

日本で留学先を決めるとき、特に行きたい国はありませんでした。
英語が勉強できて、予算内の学校があればどこでも良かったんだと思います。
国によってアクセントや表現が違うのは知ってましたが、
英語ができない私にとってなにがどう違うのかわかりませんでしたし、正直もうどこでも同じじゃないのって。
語学学校を卒業した後、行きたい学校がイギリスだったので、自然と行き先をイギリスに決定。
なんでケンブリッジへ来たかというと、ご大層な理由はないんです。
英国の知識がまったくない私でもケンブリッジが学研都市なのは知っていました。
うわさによると、とりあえずたくさん難しい学校があるらしいと。
私、あんまり勉強ができなかったから、賢い人に憧れがあったのかもしれません。
そんな感じで選んできたケンブリッジ。我ながらなんて安直な・・・。
町並みは綺麗といわれるけど・・・・正直そうでもなかった。いえ、建物はとっても綺麗なんです。
お庭とかも本当に綺麗なんですけど、チューインガムやタバコのポイ捨てが日本に比べて多いです。
それがちょっと残念です。
でも、大きすぎず、小さすぎず、大きな公園や、野生動物がたくさんいて、私は好きです。
