There is a peculiar compliment “beyond Japanese” in Japan. The phrase is for Japanese people with great ability or talent, and based on the notion that the world is better than Japan.
As the phrase shows, basically Japanese tend to adore foreign country, and the notion has been remarkable in the past five years on TV: part-westerner, part-Japanese entertainers have increased. They are popular on TV show and TV commercial or something. Here are examples for it.

"...or something" sounds a little odd here. I think that if you were speaking this sentence, then "...or something" would sound ok. But in writing it can sometimes be a little odd.

I don't fully understand what you are trying to say here.
Sometimes Japanese people prefer Japanese culture over western culture, and sometimes they prefer western culture over Japanese culture. I think there are cultural misunderstandings with either extreme. I feel like instead of treating foreigners like they are special, all races should be approached with equal fascination.
I am wondering in how you feel about this. Are you frustrated with how Japan is changing, or do you just find it interesting?

In this sentence, I want to say "日本の女の子たちは、彼女たちの”日本人離れした魅力”に夢中なのかもしれない。
「日本人離れしている」のことばをおぼえます！ I learned something interesting today.
My boyfriend tells me that the reason I appeal to a lot of guys is because it's difficult to tell where I'm from and my because my features are from all over the place, the chances of finding another who looks like me are rare.
I'm the other way around though. I like plain guys, hehe.
