The sports gym had had a discount campaign until January 31th, so I signed up the day before yesterday.

At the night, I sit up late choosing studio programs they have. At first, I thought I joined the Hip Hop dance program but I changed my mind.
Because I'm already 31 and the paper said that program is a low impact activity. So I picked out Pilates, BodyJam, and swimming programs then I went to bed.

I was supposed to go there since February 1st, but when I woke up yesterday, I completely lost my drive to go. Because I was too sleepy and it would have taken about 30 minutes to walk from my house to the gym.

So I called them and told that I wanted to put off the day to start.

I will go there beginning on the 16th!

  • I'm already 31 and the paper said (that) that program is a low impact activity. If you wanna use 'because', you should probably make one long sentence using this sentence and the one before it, and just put a comma in between 'mind' and 'because'. Somehow when you start a sentence with 'because' it sounds a little childish... like you're a child who can't make a complete sentence. So for example, it might sound okay to use it when you're saying a sentence that in Japanese would end in 「だもん!」 You know what I mean?

How fun to take new classes, and three new ones all at once! I've been thinking I'd like to start swimming again, too. I hope you have a ton of fun and that you like it. :)

Thank you!

I understand how to use 'because'. Actually, you are not the first to tell me that but I didn't know why I shouldn't start a sentence with 'because' at that time. So I wrote that sentence with hesitation this time, my heart racing. lol

I'll be a sporty lawyer! XD

Dear future sporty lawyer,

Again, it's fine if you want to use Because at the beginning of a sentence, it just changes the tone of the post a bit. I might be a bit biased though, cause as you can tell, I like long sentences. To me it seems too choppy to stop a sentence in the middle, then start again with a 'Because'. It flows better if you put it all together, I think. It's just one of those things that's hard to explain why it sounds a bit off to a native ear, I guess.

Good luck! :)
