17 Again, a lovely film!

I saw the film, '17 Again' today.

The story is as follows.
Mike is a 37-year-old man.
He used to be a very good basketball player when he was a highschool student, and expected to be a star player in the college league as well.
But he abondaned it because his girl friend got pregnant and he decided to be a father.
It seemed a wonderful life started for them.
However, he has been complaining about his decision since then.
'If I had gone to a college, I would be better paid,' or something like that.
His wife is tired of his complaints and attitude, so she decided to split.
His daughter and son don't respect him at all, and pay no attention to him.
One day, he went to his highschool and thought, 'I wish I could go back to my highschool days and change my life.'
After a few days, he found his body was transformed to what he was at the age of 17.

Some parts are very funny, and some are touching.
This film is nice in the point that he did not live a whole new life but lived for his family members.

If I could become 17 years old again, I would want to go to another school and experience totally different things.
(I don't mean that I disliked my school or I regret the past. I just wondered what I would do if it happened to me.)

Hmm, pretty hard to say what I would do differently if I was 17 again, since I haven't regretted anything seriously yet (or I've just forgot). Well okay, I would select another field of study and concentrate on where I'm naturally good at. Many years were wasted on studies I wasn't interested in the end. But such is life, you can't expect it to be perfect. :)

I also think it would be really interesting to see how my life would have turned out had I made different decisions, but I am very happy with my life. It would be very sad if by changing the decisions that I made in the past that I never got to experience some of my most memorable experiences.

If I was 17 again I would have made sure that I went straight to College after School instead of messing and achieving nothing. I don't think I regret my choices, I have just never had the chance to do many things because I didn't (and still don't) have enough money. Let's look to the future!

I'm glad you liked the movie!! :) I'm only 18, so I don't think it would really count for me. :P

However, I like to think that we should live without regrets.

I used to think that I would like to go back and change things that I did or didn`t do in the past. I told that to a student of mine once, and his response changed my mind.

He said, "señor(I was his spanish teacher), you are you because of the things that you did do in the past. If you changed those things, you wouldn`t be who you are now. You might not be here teaching us or helping me get through this difficult time in my life. I`m glad you did what you did in the past so you can be here helping me now."

So, as happy/sad I am about things in my past, I would never go back and change a single thing.

If I was 17 again, I'd start learning Japanese. :) I started when I was 28.

I really liked this movie, as you said it was really in funny in parts and moving in others. If I was 17 again, I don't know what I'd do, I think I'll stick at my current age and do my best! ^__^
