I have no words to express how glad and pleased I am feeling and this feeling of enormous pleasure and delight may go away in some time, although it has left a deep print in me and on my mind.
Words are not enough to express what I feel because I went to a speech given by one of the most important and eminent Mexican writers: Don Carlos Fuentes.
Why do I use "DON"? Because this is a noun which we use as an equivalent of "SIR" and it is used to show respect to senior citizens and adults.
The whole speech was called "Puerto Rico en América Latina". I prefer to write the title in Spanish because sometimes translating might be easy for me and it would only be understood by just a few people.
I have to mention that I did not arrived as early as I could have wanted to get there because I have to go first to my English class at 11 am and I even get a little late there and even because of that, my teacher made a joke on it.
As soon as he and my classmates saw me, he said "All right guys, class is over see you on Monday" and I got angry a lot and I said a few Finnish swearwords such as "Perkele" "Vittu" "Huora" "Hiiso" "Hitto" and "Paska".
Yet he told me it was a joke.
After the class finished, I went as fast as I can to the USBI, the main library of my university, where don Carlos Fuentes, or as I refer to him "El señor Fuentes", was giving a conference and a speech. I took the bus.
When I got there, the conference was not finished yet, so I felt so happy and full of delight because I have wanted a lot to meet one of Mexico's most important writers and this was a lifetime opportunity.
I could not accomplish to listen to señor Fuentes speech, yet I listened to an amazing, deep and outstanding speech about Puerto Rico's culture and history, given by another possible writer who had a yellowish suit with a yellow tie, and I found a few different similutudes with Mexico's history, such as slavery, madness from leaders, horrible treachery and terrible dealing with the American natives.
I felt so shocked with the mention of how were threated the black slaves when they arrived. He said that the firsts to come, were marked in their bare skin with a metal really red hot and the first black slave which was marked with this metal, shout an horrible creepy scream of pain that could sure be listened in the whole new country-world.
Another thing that called my attention a lot, was a comment about Northamerican culture and its influence in the Puerto Rican culture and how it has given an increasing on the fatness and there more cases of fat Puerto Rican people, mainly because of the influence of the Northamerican way of life.
When I listened to that comment I thought inmediately that was to be expected, coming from Northamerica, whose life styles has its amazing advantages and terrible disadvantages.
I remembered that Northamerica has a really big and huge rate in fat people, mainly because Northamerican people are very used to eat meat. On one hand, if three thousand million people, just a few millions eat constantly vegetables and a variate diet, along with an active healthy life-style. On the other hand, the other many millions have sedentary lifestyles and they eat gladly meat, beef and pork and they get fat more every day.
I was not so much surprised when I heard that comment about Puerto Rican men with a huge belly. I would be terrified if this happened to small young children, and I will not mention women because I don't want to have a negative influence on them.
Paraphrasing Saramago's words:
"There are two potencies in the world: one is the United States and the other is you"
Then I will not try to eat no meat in any form and I will still keep my ovolactovegetarian eating habits and my semi active life style with long walkings.
When the speech finished there was a crazy clapping and even I whistled a lot in order to express how pleased and excited was, because I do love reading and literature and it was reflected on the gratfeul sincere greeting I gave mister Fuentes and I told him with a lot of pleasure that he would be my influence in the next story I am about to write and he looked a little bit surprised.
There was a grand-opening of a new reading section which was called, not surprisingly, "Carlos Fuentes". It was a little bit dissappointing that I could not pass to the room when it was open up, yet I could speak with him again and it was completely pleasing and terrific.
I asked him to firm my newspaper but he said he does not firm newspaper.
I was about to insist but I respected it. Then I followed him, telling him how amazing the speech was and I was sorry for coming late and not having listened his speech and talk. I asked him if I would come back soon and he said he would do it many several times.
I think he found kind of funny my last question:
"How do you think, your inmortality will be like, when you die?"
He answered me:
"No son! I am not dying"
He then understood muy question because I was refering to his inmortality and he stood thinking about it. It is correct, a writer never dies.
This was more than just assisting to a event that had something to do with culture and literature, where I had to go in order to have a base for writing a report about an event, this is actually an event I did enjoy a lot and I would hardly forget because I love literature and reading, so this will be i my mind, my heart and thoughts.

"How do you think your life in eternity will be like, when you die?"
He then understood my question because I was refering to his inmortal fame and he stood thinking about it.

I am most impressed that you are hobnobbing with the stars of world literature! Your career has started.
Three points
1) What an amazing event so grippingly told
2) What sustained, good, and mostly correct English
3) Good God! Even I - a mere beginner - know that FIRMAR and ASSISTIR are FALSE FRIENDS. Whatever were you thinking ;-) I think you got carried away with the excitments of the day.
PS Give my love to your friend Carlito when you next see him ;-)
I tried to report in English, a new word that a good Japanese friend of mine taught me for descriving my eating habits and he said am ovolactovegetarian because I eat eggs, milk and any food that comes from milk.
Anwering your question:
Yes, ovolactovegetarian involves milk and everything that is mnde from milk, yet this does not involves any kind of meat.
I eat food that has an animal origin but no beef nor meat.
It is CARLOS and I wrote CARLO.
xD

I think Cambusken has covered all the other bases, and I'm not going to go over it and check, but I decided to correct that sentence because I noticed he had missed a few things.
