An ogre that became a rock 三

The ogre said to the child…
鬼は子鬼に、

”Get off and wait here."…
「おりろ、ここで待つんだ」

…but, the child was not shaking his head.
と、いいましたが、子鬼は首を振っておりません。

"Alright, make sure you won't cry then."
「ようし、そんなら泣くなよ！」

Saying so, he took a step off to the shore.
鬼はそういうと、足を海へふみ出しました。

波は狂った様に押し寄せ、鬼にぶつかってきます。
The waves insanely surged and struck the ogre.

The ogre shook his head, and got by snarling, but his feet was taken off the ground by the tremendous waves and he fell over with a thud.
鬼は首を振り、うなり声をあげて進みましたが、すさまじい波に足をさらわれて、ドテンと倒れました。

Although he was lying, not to let the childe drown on the rock, he thrusted up the rocks and went into the sea then disappeared.
しかし、鬼は倒れながらも、岩の上の子鬼をおぼれさせまいと、岩を高くさしあげ、そのままズブズブと海に入り、ついに姿が見えなくなってしまいました。

By the body of the ogre and the rocks, eventually, the sea was getting quiet until it calmed down.
波は鬼の体と、岩にさえぎられ、やがて海は静かになっていきました。

そしていつのまにか、鬼の体は岩になりました。
Then before one knows, the ogre's body became rock.

"Dad!"
「おとう!」

岩の上で子鬼はワンワンと泣きました。
The child ogre cried on the rock.

泣いて泣いて、泣き疲れて、その子鬼もとうとう小さな岩になりました。
He cried and cried, and got tired from crying, then finally also, he became rock.

今でもこの浜には、２つの大岩と、その上にちょこんとのっている小岩が残っているそうです。
Even now at this beach, it is said that there remain the two rocks and the small rock on the top.
