My Friend's Earthquake Experience

My Canadian friend, Ally, just flew home from the devastated land of Chile. She was there on business and the earthquake attacked her a day before her departure back to Canada. Acturally, she would have left the day before, but due to the engine trouble of her plane, she had to stay there for one more night. Then it happened. Luckily, she was staying in a modern hotel with earthquake resistance, so the damage to the building was minimum and she didn't loose the access to the Internet, through which we got to know she was okay. I would have never imagined Facebook was used to communicate with an earthquake surviving friend.

A few days after she got home, she wrote an article about her earthquake experience. I "experienced" her earthquake ordeal through her writing.
Here's what it is:

The earthquake attacked her = 地震は彼女を直接おそった

Looselose の区別を気をつけてください。
Lose = 失う・なくす, loose = ゆるめた・ゆるんだ・解けた。
lose a purse=財布をなくす。
the knot is loose=結び目は解けた

ライチュウさん,丁寧な添削ありがとうございました.

j「地震が起こる(起きた)」というのはstrike(struck)を使えばよいのですね.悩みました.

以下の文はもしかして,"be"がぬけてますか.

I would never have imagined Facebook would used to communicate with a friend who had (just) survived an earthquake.

Facebook would BE used?

One of her friends read this article and made a following comment.

"Wow, i just read your piece on line...I didn't realize how serious it was, you were a bit blaze in your facebook updates (as one should be, maybe?) but, yeah, terrifying! You were so lucky."

What does she mean by "blaze" here? I think I could guess from the context, but I couldn't find any difinitions closer to what I guessed. Does it mean something like "saying less"?
