On the danish education system and other stuff
Greetings!
My name is Christian and I'm from Denmark, a little country just north of Germany. Currently I'm attending a highschool or a "gymnasium" as we call it. The three main subjects I'm learing is math(my favourite), physics and chemistry. Futhermore we are required to have at least two foreign languages of which one of them has to be english, the other language is a matter of choice. I chose french hence i'm a fan of some french authers such as Camus.
In Denmark the norm is to attend public school for nine years, there's also a voluntary tenth grade. The tenth grade is normally in an "efterskole" these are a kind of boarding schools, these are also private school, but greatly supported by the danish goverment. Education is free in denmark, this true for both highschool and university. However this is on the cost of high taxes, as high as 60 % in some cases, Most people accept this prominent level of taxation, for it gives a great level of social security which comforts most people. An example of it's manifistion could be the free health care, it's free to visit your doctor, also it's free to visit the dentist when you're under 18 years.

On the Danish education system and other stuff
Currently I'm attending a high school or a "gymnasium" as we call it.
The three main subjects I'm learing are math (my favourite), physics and chemistry.
Futhermore, we are required to have at least two foreign languages, of which one of them has to be English but the other language is a matter of choice.
I chose French as I'm a fan of some French authors such as Camus.
In Denmark the norm is to attend public school for nine years, but there's also a voluntary tenth grade.
The tenth grade is normally in an "efterskole", these are a kind of boarding schools. These are also private schools, but greatly supported by the Danish government.
Education is free in Denmark, this true for both high school and university.
However this is funded by high taxes, as high as 60 % in some cases. Most people accept this prominent level of taxation, for it gives a great level of social security which comforts most people.
An example of it's manifestation could be our free health care; it's free to visit your doctor, and also it's free to visit the dentist when you're under 18 years.
The three main subjects I'm learing is math (my favourite), physics and chemistry. (English people normally say maths but American people say math, its up to personal choice) I would say maths because i'm from England
