我会说一点中文,可是得不好,” surprised Jack a little. "Is that better?"

看到:www<dot>sedgehead<dot>com/Windsong<dot>htm。

6)《Kisatchie》
7)《Fayetteburg》

English:

Today I'm working on my first novel, Moose Creek. I started writing the first version of Moose Creek in 2009. I've started two other novels, Kisatchie and Fayetteburg which I have not worked on in a while. Maybe I'll tell you more about them later. Moose Creek is the story of a forest fire fighter. I worked on forest fires in the western United States while I worked for the U. S. Forest Service (1991-2008). More about that later.

I never can remember exactly how many books I'm writing. The new Atlas and Annotated List of Arkansas Plants should be published this fall with 15 coauthors. I'm also working on a book I call Arkansas Carex which describes 131 kinds of sedges in the genus Carex which occur in Arkansas, and from which I take my name "Sedgehead." I've written 240,000 words on my autobiography, Windsong but the Chinese version风吟is barely started.

The Chinese version says something like, "Hello, everyone. I want to write. Why? Why write an autobiography? I'm the only one who knows. So sit back, relax, and listen. I want to use Chinese, but my Chinese is not very good. I'm going to use Chinese to write my autobiography. Many of my Chinese friends are helping me. But I want to write it myself in well written Chinese. I use the writing of this book to practice Chinese. I just want to write. I think you will understand as you read my story."
