Let's try to obtain an attractive face!

When my friend was working for a well-known cosmetic company, a make-up artist who was working for popular Japanese actresses came to the company and showed the employees her skill. First, two of the female employees--a good-looking woman and a bad-looking one--took off their makeup that they put on by themselves. Then, as the rest of the employees watched, the artist started putting makeup on them, demonstrated her skill and turned these two into enchanting women. The unattractive woman changed to the point where the spectators hardly recognized her, which really stunned them. The make-up artist found out a charming part on her face, highlighted it and created an appealing face. On the way home, the unattractive woman first enjoyed feeling male passers-by looking at her. Some young men trying to pick her up surprised her and made her happy.

When ordinary people apply makeup on themselves, they tend to put heavy makeup on parts with which they aren't satisfied like Japanese women do that on their eyes to make up bigger and impressive eyes. However, as you can already see, specialists insist that this way will make your face less attractive since the heavy makeup can even end up showing up the unpleased parts. In other words, the parts inevitably draw unwanted attention.

It's acknowledged more widely that facial expressions are important in the social life. As the expressions gain in importance, makeup plays a more important role of helping you make up impressive facial expressions. Upon seeing makeup from these perspectives, I really feel like I cannot neglect makeup, although I know that your face and facial expressions often come from within.

Speaking of makeup, it reminds me of a funny story: When a woman is taking a bath, her male friends accidentally appear in front of her. If she is in her 10s or 20s, she subconsciously hides her boobs and that part with her hands. If she is over 30, she subconsciously covers her no-makeup face with her both hands. I cannot deny it.

Haha, I don't know if that's a good thing.

There is a joke that if you go out with a Japanese girl and you sleep with her, when you wake up the next day you won't recognize her when the makeup comes off. When I was in Japan, I felt like everyone had the same makeup style.

I suppose it's okay...
It's not like Korea where all the girls get plastic surgery for their high school graduation present...

I just added an alternative. Very interesting journal entry. I don't like wearing makeup -_-... I do like using facial beauty products for cleansing though.

★Hi minicat
Thanks for your help. Also, thank you for stopping by my page sometimes.

★Hi Joseph
Thanks for your help.

> "bad-looking" sounds mean, haha
I knew that. I was wondering what expression was best when I was writing the entry. I didn't think of the good one. Actually, my friend told me that to be honest, she was bad-looking, not ordinary.

>There is a joke that if you go out with a Japanese girl and you sleep with her, when you wake up the next day you won't recognize her when the makeup comes off.
It will be happening if you hit on women who put heavy makeup on their eyes.

>When I was in Japan, I felt like everyone had the same makeup style.
It's true. I don't understand it though.

At business, I think that natural makeup is necessary. When I deliver a presentation in front of many people, I usually put heavier makeup than usual. I think it works.

>It's not like Korea where all the girls get plastic surgery for their high school graduation present...
Really? I do know that plastic surgery is very common in Korea though.

★Hi AnnaBanana
Thanks for your kindly comment. Actually, my English is not as good as you think.

★Hi tonicblade
Thanks for your help.

> I don't like wearing makeup -_-... I do like using facial beauty products for cleansing though.

In Japan, many people don't like heavy makeup. Everybody tries to put natural makeup. Personally, I pay more attention facial beauty products, too, but an eyebrow pencil and a mascara are necessary for me.
