Examination for the prep school
I failed the university entrance exams last year and this year. (In more accurate words, I didn't try them)
This year, I decided to put myself to a prep school.
Yesterday I should try the exam in order to join the course which aims for the university I wish to go to.
Though this exam, however, accepts most people, its real purpose is to evaluate them and to determine how much money the school will cut for each of them, *like a scholarship(*I tried to say this is like a scholarship).

Prep School Exams
(To be more accurate, I didn't try taking them)
This year, I decided to enroll myself in a prep school.
Yesterday I had to take an exam in order to enroll in the prep course for the university I want to attend.
Though this exam, however, accepts most people, its real purpose is to evaluate them and to determine how much money the school will cut for each of them, *like a scholarship(*I tried to say this is like a scholarship). Not sure what this sentence means - if you post the Japanese I can give you a better fix - it isn't clear exactly what is being "cut" or what it means if a person is "accepted".
> I guess that means it...
