I think many of you know Japanese monsters from anime. For example, Godzilla and Pikachu are very famous. In fact, many mythical creatures appear a lot in Japanese folklore. When authors of anime create new characters, they are often inspired by these creatures. Mizuki Shigeru is a very famous author of anime who writes about these creatures. He has traveled all over Japan to study about Japanese monsters. I think there is a lot of mythical creatures in Hispanic cultures as well. They are very interesting. The picture above is a picture of a Kappa　河童.

Aquí está una venda japonesa que tengo gusto. El nombre es Tokio Jihen. Shiina Ringo es el cantante. Ella es el líder de la venda. Aunque su música pueda ser poco una demasiado oscura ocasionalmente, ella tiene un talento maravilloso. ¡Ella es tan atractiva en el vídeo!

What do you like about Japan?
When I came to the United States, I was surprised to find that Americans watched a lot of anime that I have never heard of. Cowboy Bebop is one of such animes. In contrast, Americans have never heard of some mangas that are popular in Japan.

Here is one Japanese band I like. The name is Tokyo Jihen. Shiina Ringo is the singer. She is the leader of the band. Although her music can be a little too dark at times, she has a wonderful talent.
She's so sexy in the video!

El español es el primer idioma extranjero que estudié. Estudié chino después eso. Ahora, siento que siempre que piense en palabras, pienso en chino en vez de español. ¿Esto sucede a la gente que ha estudiado idiomas múltiples? Estoy pensando mirar películas españolas este fin de semana. ¿Usted tiene sugerencias? ¿Es el " Volver" con Penelople Cruz bueno?

A lot of years have passed since I studied Spanish, but I want to relearn again! Spanish is the first foreign language I studied. I studied Chinese after that. Now, I feel that whenever I think of words, I think in Chinese instead of Spanish. Does this happen to people who have studied multiple languages? I am thinking of watching Spanish movies this weekend. Do you have any suggestions? Is "Volver" with Penelople Cruz good?


スペイン語を勉強してから、何年もたってしまいましたが、また勉強したいと思っています。　スペイン語は私にとって始めて勉強した外国語です。　その後中国語を勉強しました。　英語と日本語以外で言葉を思い浮かべるとき、中国語が頭に浮かんできてしまいます。　こういう現象がおきた人いますか？　今週末スペインの映画を見ようかと思っています。　何かお勧めなのはありますか。　ペネロペ　クルスがでてる　Volverって良いですか？

I love studying foreign languages, traveling, meeting new people with diverse backgrounds.　I studied both Spanish and Chinese for several years but had to stop. I hope to use Lang-8 as a means to keep up my Spanish and Chinese (Mandarin). I'd appreciate if I can get help from all of you! I'm fluent in Japanese and English, so if you need help, leave me a note. =)

PS：　Looking for good Spanish/Spanish-speaking movies right now. Any suggestions?
