Deaflympics

The 2009 Summer deaflympics is in Taipei , where is the first Asia city to host his summer game .

Taipei City government was authorized by the official Olympics organization to host the 21st Deaflympics .

More than 4000 athletes came from 79 countries around the world participate in this summer game .

Because of this Game , many channels in Taiwan now have some programs propagandizing this event and teaching us how to root for them with hand language .

Begging in 1924 ,deaflypics now has more than 17 athletic categories and 150 events .

From our local program which interviewed some of this athletes , I profoundly revere their spirit of overcoming hearing damage .

The open ceremony is due to begin in Taipei stadium at 7:30 pm on September 5.
