Afghanistan girl quest
Have you ever seen this photo?
Shot by Steve McCurry, a celebrated photographer working at National Geographic , in a refugee near Peshawar of Afghanistan in 1984, the green frightened pupils rapidly drew mundane attention.
It was not until 2001 that Steve McCurry made a wish to search out this girl.
Yet it's not like shooting fish in a barrel, perhaps the grim war had long since caught up with her.
Steve, dead setting on fulfilling his dream, set foot on Afghanistan again to nose around this girl.
He, took someone else for her many times, even had to resort to FBI's sophisticated facial recognition technology to help him.
Keep his fingers crossed!
Now she has her own family and children but her eyes are not as clean as they were.
The only thing which has never changed is we still can feel an unsettle emotion reviling from her profound eyes.

Shot by Steve McCurry, a celebrated photographer working for the National Geographic , in a refugee camp near Peshwar in Afghanistan in 1984, the green frightened pupils were widely regarded as arresting.
It was not until 2001 that Steve McCurry fely that he should discover the fate of this girl.
Since Afghanistan has been in more or less a constant state of war, it was not safe to assume she was still alive.
Steve, focused on fulfilling his dream, visited Afghanistan again to try to discover her fate.
Mistaking someone else for her many times, he even had to resort to the FBI's sophisticated facial recognition technology to help him.
He keet his fingers crossed!
Now she has her own family and children and her eyes are not as clear as they were.
The only thing which didn't change is we still can feel an unsettling emotion from her profound eyes.
hahaha
I also have the same feeling.
