"-ed "as in wanted, needed.
Is it like a weak sound of e as in eat, meet?
Or, is it like a weak sound of i as in sit, bit?
According to the spelling, I think it should be pronounced a weak sound of e as in eat.
But, All dictionary use a pronunciation symbol, i as in sit.
And, there is a similar question. How do you pronounce e in "decline" ?
In this word, all dictionary also use a pronunciation symbol, i as in sit.
I think in this case, it should be pronounced a weak sound of e as in bed.
Or, e in eat, e in bed, and i in sit of each week sound are completely the same sound?

Or, are e in eat, e in bed, and i in sit exactly the same sound?
But there is no textbook or content that explains how to pronounce "-ed " as in wanted, needed. I may understand why you don't catch my question because all contents I read also don't answer my question.
Iet me change a question. My question is...
e in eat, e in bed, and i in sit of each week sound are completely the same sound?
Or, don't English speakers care about it?
I want you check http://www.forvo.com/word/wanted/#en.
One pronounces the weak sound of e as in bed.
And other pronounces the weak sound of i as in sit.
And, according to dictionaries, de in deliver should be pronounced "di" weakly.
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/deliver
But, I think almost all natives pronounce "de" weakly.

What do you think?
And tell me your opinion about how to pronounce "-ed" in wanted, needed.
"e in eat, e in bed, and i in sit of each week sound are completely the same sound? Or, don't English speakers care about it?"
No they are definitely different sounds and interchanging them would, and in some cases, completely change the meaning of the words. For example:(ship, sheep)(shit, sheet)(bit, bet, beet)
Let's look at them one by one.
First, the e in eat.

To a native speaker, all of these pronunciations sound fine.
Now, the e in bed:

All of these pronunciations sound good too. Go back and forth between the two sounds and I am sure that you will see the difference.
Finally, there is the i in sit.

Five of these six are good but the sample by greengobbie92 is all wrong! It is totally different from the others and it is not the way that "sit" is pronounced in English.
As for how to pronounce the "ed" in wanted and needed....
http://www.forvo.com/word/wanted/#en
The pronunciation by Peonygoat is good; peterktan's pronunciation is not bad but it is clear that he is not a native speaker. You should imitate the way that Peonygoat says this word.
http://www.forvo.com/word/needed/#en
Both of these pronunciations are good. fordum's is slower and more defined than the way people usually speak but it is very clear. anakat's pronunciation is quicker and a little sloppy but it is what you hear in everyday American speech.
Try to copy what you hear in these samples and let me know if they help!
I think -ed pronounced by Peonygoat is different sound from by fordum's & anakat's.
That's why I asked this question.
Those sounds from three people sound completely the same to you?
Listen carefully. I'm sure it's not the same.
I think fordum's & anakat's -ed are the same, but Peonygoat's is a bit different.
Peonygoat's e in -ed is the same as e in "de"liver
http://www.forvo.com/word/deliver/#en
fordum's & anakat's e in -ed is similar to e in "re"name, or the same.
