I have been thinking whether I will buy the Egnlsih bible or not.
I want to study the bible but I'm worried if I end up giving up studying the bible.
That's because I haven't studying the bible before.
I like to memorize all the bible but is it possible for me to do it?
or not will I study other English books?
I'd like to study the Egnlish bible but I hesitate to begin to do it..

I have been thinking whether I should buy the English bible or not.
I'd like to study the English bible but I hesitate to do it..
Well, to read bible means to study the religion. I'm not a christian but from what i know, there are multiple versions of bible right?
I think, it doesn't matter whether you can memorize the whole bible or not, what more important is whether you can apply whatever the bible teaches you in your daily life or not.
Same as Islam, not all Muslims memorize the whole Quran (holy book) but we do practice the Quran teaching in our daily life.
I think there is no meaning in memorizing if you dont practice the teaching right? Don't worry, don't feel hesitate, there is always a good thing in religion and do it step by step so you won't give up half way..
Good luck dear..=)
I think that you're totally right. It doesn't matter if I'm albe to memorize all of it. only I should practice the teaching .^^ thanks
I think you should buy an English bible! Even if you don't study the religion the book is fun to read. BUT, the words and grammar used in the Bible are not commonly used now days.
If you think the Bible is too much for you to handle, than you can try reading other books in English. There are plenty of shorter simpler books to chose from.
Reading the whole bible sure would be good English practice ^^ Just remember that the bible uses some really old English though!
I think studying the Bible is great idea ^-^ I recommend the NIV version because it uses simple, more common language. I am a Christian and it is the version I use. Other versions use older English and it is hard to read and we don't speak that way anymore so it won't be of any help.
Also, some tips on reading it: you can just start at the beginning but it will become very hard once you reach the book of Leviticus. If you want, you can start in the New Testament with Christ. This might be more interesting reading and embodies the teachings of Christ and what Christians believe. And don't worry about memorizing all of it! You can just choose a few of your favorite verses if you want. Many Christians do it that way.
I hope you enjoy studying the Bible and that it will change your life in the best way possible :)
It's really helpful ^^
I just bought bible. I want to understand what it say and practice the teaching in real life ^^
as you said, I don't have to memorize all of it!
Thank you for your kindness^^
I have been thinking (about) whether I should buy the English bible or not.
I want to study the bible but I'm worried I'll end up giving up studying the bible.<<or>> I'm worried that I'll give up studying it.
That's because I've never studied the bible before.
I would like to memorize all of the bible, but is it possible for me to do it?
or will I not study other English books?
I'd like to study the English bible, but I'm hesitant to start doing it..
I'm not religious, but you should definitely find a modern translation of the bible. The most popular versions use a kind of "extinct" vocabulary, like "thee", "thou", "doth", or "needeth". These are words that were used a long time ago, but have been replaced by other words today. Also, I wouldn't rely on just 1 book to study English from. I would mix it up with other books like fiction or biography, they would probably be more useful and use more authentic language than the bible.
I bought the GNB version. I think that it was writen easily rather than other things.
and I should read other English books with bible.
Thank you for your kindness!
or not will should I study other English books instead?
I'm assuming this was what you meant. ^^
Another good edition that uses modern English is the NEW (emphasis on the New) King James Version (NKJV). ^^ 저는 Bible를 다 읽었어요. 좀 어려워지만 it's good for the soul. ^^
you could say it again!
I read a few last night. there were lots of nice words!+_
