I was watching an American video drama called 'Ghost Whisperer' last night.
There was one scene in the drama. A heroine found someone's list. She said, "Ah! It seems a bucket list".
What is a bucket list? I guessed It was a want to do list before he or she die.
Why do they call it 'bucket list'? A bucket means a container used to fold water or something, right?
Please someone teach me.

その中である場面がありました。主人公がリストを見つけて、「あ！それはバケツリストみたい」と言いました。
バケツリストって何？ どうやら、死ぬ前にしたいことのリストみたいだけど。
なぜそれをバケツリストとよぶの？ バケツって水や何かを入れておく容器のことですよね。

I'm sure there's a reason but most people know what it is just from growing up hearing this expression. It is a part of the culture, I guess.
