Now, I enjoy eating Syake-toba or Japanese salmon jerky.
This is a traditional food of Japanese ancient people, Aynu who lived in Hokkaido, Japan.
"Syake" means "Salmon",
and "Toba" means "winter leaf" which a salmon with making equally spaced cuts in looks like.
Usually, Syake-toba is salty taste only,
however Syake-toba is modified many types by people's like recently.
I like a pepper taste.
Syake-toba taste really good on its own.
Moreover, if you roast it a bit, you will find another texture.
Of course, it is really good with drinking.
