There are some people who always look forwad-looking.
There are some people who always look backward-looking like me.
But if I compare people in Japan now and people in Japan 30 years ago, ratio of backward-looking people will be the worst now. The life condtion 30 years ago was worse than now, though.

Thank you for your corrections. Backward-looking in this case ( in my dictionary ) means those who always think about negative aspects.

Understood !! Pessimistic ! By the way, your student got satisfied with corrections now ? I analyze why there are some people who get few corrections . My conclustion is followings.

1 The essay is too long. It takes too much time for correntors to make corrections ( and correctors give up ) .
2 The essay is too incorrect . Correctors can not understand the message. Is is almost impossible to correct them.
3 The essay is " too perfect ". No points to be corrected.

Anyway , no reaction from correctors for many days makes writers pessimistic !!

Hehehe. Bingo! You're too smart Jack! I find too lengthy essays hard to correct...The reasons you have listed in here could be among the reasons why others don't get their essays corrected. Another thing is that, you need to return the favor to the one who takes time in correcting your essay by clicking on the "Thank you" button...:)

Hmmm...it is actually found next to the name of the person who checked your essay. When you click on the "plus" button beside the name, the yellow star will appear. You can click the button 5 times depending on much you appreciate the person.

Oh,,,,, yes , yes !!! I did not notice it untill now. I got it!! This button is " Thank you button ". Thank you not only for corrections but for telling me the exsistance of this button !!
