When I am helping others correct their journal entries, I prefer to give some specific examples including the usage of words and grammar that they should learn, because I think it can help them understand better.
当我帮助别人修改日记的时候，我喜欢给他们一些具体的例子，这些例子包含了他们需要学习的单词的用法和语法，因为我觉得这样可以帮他们更好地理解。
At the very beginning when I was providing examples, I searched them on the Internet. Then I got used to make sentences directly by myself after many times, though my sentences were very basic, like "如果明天下雨，我就不能出去了". (In this sentence, I explain how to use 如果……就.) It always reminds me of my time as a pupil. My teacher gave us some words, and asked us to use them.
一开始举例子的时候，我总是会去网上找。后来次数多了，我就习惯于直接自己写了，不过这些句子一般都很简单，比如“如果明天下雨，我就不能出去了”。（这句话中，我在解释“如果……就……”的写法。)这常常让我想到我小学学中文的时候，老师给我们一个词语或者连词，然后要求我们造句。
To be honest, helping others with their Mandarin also benefits a lot, and sentence-making is also fun.
说实话，帮助别人学中文给让我获益匪浅，而且造句也很有意思。
