Today I got my permit. And I drove on the road for the first time. I was driving in the country so there wasn't that much traffic. But for my first drive I've been told that I did well. I drove for at least 45 minutes.

I remembered the feeling when I drove onto a road for the first time.

I was so scared and only taking care of oncoming vehicle, I almost
hit the wall at the opposite side ;D

私も免許持ってますが、全く運転していません…。
日本では、私のような人のことを「ペーパードライバー」といいます。
運転していないと、免許もただの紙切れです…。

ペーパードライバー？免許の手に入れるのためにどんな法律はありますか？イリノイで５０時間の運転が必要なのです。いいえ、必要でもなくて、法律です。クラスにも入らなければなりません。

A person with a license but with no practice? What type of laws do you have to obtain a license? Here in Illinois we need to drive behind the wheel for 50 hours. Actually, it's not needed, it's a law. We also have to take class as well.

実際に教習所のなかで運転の演習をしたり、路上に出て運転をする実技教習と運転のルールを学ぶ学科教習を受けます。
運転免許は、実技試験と学科試験に分かれ、実技試験は教習所で受けて「仮運転免許」があたえられます。その後、自分の住民登録している都道府県の運転免許試験場で受験申請し、学科試験を受けて、その日のうちに免許証がもらえます。
「仮免」では運転してはいけません。
18歳以上から自動免許が取れるので、日本では高校3年の3月に大学が決まった子や就職先が決まった子が教習所では多く見られ、また大学生が長い春休みを利用して免許を取ろうとするので、どこの教習所も3月は利用者が多いです！！
短期間で仮免を取りたいなら、合宿がおすすめです。（じつは、教習所より合宿のがラクです！！）2週間くらいで取れます。

Also in Japan we need to drive behind the wheel for definite times by a law. We also have to take class at a driver's school that we call "Kyo-syu-zyo" as well. We take class to practice driving and studying driver's rules and a law in class,later means that we drives in a school and on streetsin with a teacher.
Driver's license consist of a skills test and a written exam, we can pass later at a school,and we get a temporary license that called "karimenkyosyo".
Later,we need to apply to a exam at a examination hall about driver's license in a Prefecture that we resident registration.And we take a pass a written exam,so we get a driver's license by a day.
We shouldn't drive until we get it, if we get a temporary license.
In Japan we can get it from 18 years,and there are many high school students and university students in March at any driver's schools.
Because many high school students have desided a university or a place of work on March,and they have a lot of times to spare until April.And also many university student think that they get a license on a long spring vacation as well.
If you think you want to get a temporary license in a short time in Japan, I think you have to participate in a driver's training camp.(Actually it is more easy to participate it!!) We can get a temporary license for about 2 weeks.

高校までは英語と触れる機会があったのですが、大学では触れる機会のほうが珍しくなってしまい、どんどん英語の記憶が落ちています。

I had been used and studied English until I was high school student,but now I don't hardly ever used and learnd at college.
So I slip my mind about English more and more with age.
I want to apply myself diligently to study English!!
