Thank you for using our service. I'm Kazuki.
One of the major complaints we've heard from our users is like "I spent the whole time to write an entry looking up every other word in a dictionary and accidently lost everything, had to begin again..."
To prevent such a tragedy, tonight we implemented Auto Save Draft feature.
This works like GMail draft save feature. It's been autosaved in every 30 seconds after you start typing. If you want to save manually just click "Save as Draft" button.
The computer goes down? Log back into "Write a new entry" page and choose the entry you were writing from "Drafts" corner in the left column(which I pointed out in the image attached this entry).
I hope, from now on, our users feel much relieved to spend lots of time in writing entries :)

By the way,why did you name this website 'Lang-8'?
The trouble with that is that the symbol for infinity is ∞, not 8. Whatever the intentions of the founders, I'd be prepared to bet that the vast majority of users call this site "Lang Eight".

普段ワープロソフトで文書作成してスペルチェックをかけてから、コピーしていますので、「確認画面」機能がなくなったせいで逆に不便になりました。
できれば復活をよろしくお願いします。
The autosave did not work for me, and i spent over 5 minutes.
でも何事もなかったかのようにDraftsの所にデータが残ってて、嬉しかったです！
あと、不意にページが戻ってしまったりする時があるから、そういうときに
ワンクリックで復帰できるのは助かります。ありがとぅ！
できましたらメッセージもdraftがあればよいと思います。
たまにメッセージを消してしまい、がっかりすることがありますので。。。

しかし。
Draftsのカラムは、エントリを書いているときにしか表示されません。
しかもタイトルのリンクに見えるところはどこへもリンクしていません。
だいぶ探しましたが、他にドラフトへの入り口はなさそうですね。
先日、初めて、書きかけのエントリを「ドラフト保存」しました。
今のままでは、あのエントリは、ゴミになりそうです。
ちなみに利用環境は MacOSX(10.4.11。Tigerです）、Firefox3.0.5です。
Lang-8だけのために、Safariに乗換えるのはちょっと勘弁願いたいです。

To prevent such incident to happen, tonight we implement the Auto Save Draft feature.

It will autosave your documents every 30 seconds after you begin typing.
If you want to manually save your document just click the "Save as Draft" button.
If the computer automatically shuts down,
Log back on the "Write a new entry" page and choose the entry from the "Drafts" corner on the left column, which I pointed out in the image attached on this entry.
I hope, from now on, our users will be more encouraged to spend more time writing new entries.
