Apology for the privacy lapse in journals (No period at the end of a title in any manual of style.)
Thank you very much, for using Lang-8.
There was a bug that caused a temporary lapse in journal privacy, two days ago.
All entries which were only visible to Lang-8 members were temporarily made visible to everyone on the Internet between 1500 hours and 1800 hours on 15th October, JST (Japanese Standard Time).
The bug was fixed within 4 hours. We are deeply sorry for the bug, and we will be more cautious in the future.
If you can't see the "Ranking" or "Footprints" page(s), please push the 'F5' key on your keyboard to refresh the page.

Oh my God, I have so many ideas for Lang-8. You should so see my designs! :D XD
Thank you, for the update!
All of the entries which that were supposed to be accessible only public for to Lang-8 members were visible accessible to everyone on the Internet between 3:00pm and 6:30pm on October 15th(JST).
If there were are any more problems, please let us know.I assume that you are confident that you fixed the bug, but if anyone still has a problem, you want to know.
Anyway, thank you for the comments. I look forward to reading your Japanese blog. :)
"@Odoriko: The message is to the users, and the users wouldn't have fixed the bug.... So, it should be: "I assume that you are confident that we have fixed the bug..."
My sentence in red is my comment to the staff, and I was just explaining the reason why I rephrased the sentence.
"The standard use of p.m. and a.m. also isn't without a full stop, in formal writing. "
I wonder what kind of standard and formal writing you are referring to, because I see pm and am without spacing all over the place. If you are talking about the standard by the book, I would agree with you. Then I do not think the whole announcement was following the strict standard. Maybe Lang-8 staff should ask for comments before they publish anything so that we can fix them by the standard.
Thanks,
Yanagi
