Today, I wanted to go to Nagoya City. So, I got on a train of the Central Japan Railway(JR東海) Chuo Line(中央線) from the Tajimi(多治見) station.
But, Chuo Line was late. I heard that it because a railroad crossing between the Jinryo(神領) Station and the Kasugai(春日井) Station has anything accident by a guard.
I got off train at Ozone(大曽根) Station for transfer to the Nagoya Municipal Subway(名古屋市営地下鉄) Meijo Line(名城線). And, I got a delay certificate(遅延証明書) at a station window.

車掌さんに訊いたら、なんか、春日井神領間の踏切で安全確認したらしいです。
大曽根で名古屋市営地下鉄名城線に乗り換える時に、遅延証明書を貰いました。

So, I got on a train of the Central Japan Railway(JR東海) Chuo Line(中央線) at the Tajimi(多治見) station.
But, the train was late.
I heard that it was because there was a safety issue at a railroad crossing between the Jinryo(神領) Station and the Kasugai(春日井) Station.
I changed it to be more general. Accident sounds like a traffic accident or the train hit someone. Maybe malfunction?

Yes. In Japan, the trains are always on time (be in error by less than 15 sec.). But sometime has late. For example because suicide(throw oneself under a train), too many passengers, a typhoon, a earthquake, a heavy snow...etc
その遅延証明書を持ったら、会社や学校は遅刻する人に遅刻はありませんを認定されますか？
学校や会社では、「列車が遅れたために遅刻した時には遅延証明書を貰ってきてください」と言われます。
