I participated in kempo karate club which is a kind of martial arts from Japam at the first time .
it was more interesting than one I imaged. They are so kind that I was taught not only how to punch or kick ,but also groundwork technich.
Australian karate is a little bit difference from Japanese one .
Japanese karate is the way how to defence myself without arm and they dont do groundwork technick .
Also when they pose fighting style ,they often put their hand on near the west.
But Alutralian's was very different. they put their hand next to the head.
the difference is so impressive for me .

The Japanese karate teachers teach you how to defend yourself without arms and they don't use ground techniques.
"arms", do you mean "weapons"?
