How to Take Christmas Trees Pictures Nicely

Today I went to a hotel and took pictures of a Christmas tree. This hotel sets up an eminent tree (about 20 meters tall) in its stairwell every year.

When I took pictures of the tree, I did some experiments. There are six modes in my mobile phone camera: auto mode, sunny mode, cloudy mode, under a light bulb mode, under a white fluorescent light mode, and under a yellow fluorescent light mode. Each modes has a effect to the white balance. I was curious which mode is appropriate for taking the tree's picture, so I did it under the whole six modes.

My conclusion is that the white fluorescent light mode is the best. I'll show you the pictures taken under this mode. Yeah, beautiful!

  • Each modes has a effect to the white balance.
  • Each mode alters the white balance.

  • I was curious which mode is appropriate for taking the tree's picture, so I did it under the whole six modes.
  • I was curious which mode was appropriate for taking the tree's picture, so I did it in all six modes. (In this case, I think "in all" fits better than "the whole," because they are six individual different modes, as opposed to various pieces of a whole.)

Wow, those a really nice photos! That hotel gets decorated for Christmas very early, doesn't it?
Hmmm, I wonder what would be good for taking photos of an outdoor Christmas tree. Seeing this tree here, it makes me want to take a photo of the giant Christmas tree in the center of town. (Of course, that tree isn't decorated yet... hmmm.)

Very nice pictures.
Again, I edited by conciseness and what sounds more natural.

Thanks for your corrections and comments!
After reading your corrections, I refered "whole" on a dictionary, and found out the difference between "whole" and "all". Now I understand! ^^
About the decoratinon, in Japan, many shops set up the trees and signs in the last ten days of November, so this hotel, if anything, did it early.

Thanks for your corrections and natural expressions!
The sentence you suggested looks concise and clear. Using the word "mode" as a subject is interesting.

Actually, the signs change their colors (blue -> red -> white -> ...) in some seconds cycle. That was really good.
