What the Friday means to you? Maybe a wonderful weekend, or a great short trip. Although I finished the three experiments, I must write lab reports on the weekend and do the homework which should be handed in next week. I wonder if all college students should write homework every day.
The other thing I am preparing is next debate competition. It will be the last debate competition this term but I was busy doing the experiment the other day.
Yesterday, my mates and I dissected a laboratory rat. It wasn't terrifying, but a little bloody. We observed the internal organs and did duty work at last.o
Wish tomorrow won't be hot like today.

If the travel is not a road trip, then words like trip, travel, journey are fine to use.
There is no major difference but helps the reader to understand more clearly.
