In the end of 1960s, there was a band "Murasaki" who is one of the most greatest bands in Japan.
Their music were quite influenced by "Deep purple". I like their song "Double dealing woman" very much.
They are still active, although the members were changed.

A Japanese hard rock band called "Murasaki"(Murasaki means purple in Japanese).
In At the end of the 1960s, there was a the band "Murasaki" who is was one of the most greatest bands in Japan.
Remember to use past tense when speaking about something that already happened/from the past. You can probably get rid of "most" too so it doesn't sound too awkward. :)
Their music were was quite greatly influenced by "Deep Purple".
They are still active, although but they have different members were are changed.
Sounds more natural :)
