I prefer to replace "still be" with "remain", but "still be" (Heijoushin's suggestion) is 100% OK and natural sounding.

I chose "with the passing of time" to replace "time goes by" because "pass" has a similar meaning to "go by", and because this expression gives the reader a stronger sense of distance over time.
