Two years ago, my family was plannig to visit New York.
I estimated the cost and found out that it was over our budget.
As I really wanted to take my children to New York in that year, I thought that I would manage to find the money.
Suddenly, I remembered that I had kept 500yen coins in the money box.
I began to keep the coins more than 10 years ago but I put coins in only when I had them by chance.
Besides, I sometimes had left behind that for a few years whithout putting in so I've almost gotten about that.
However, it was almost full so I decided to open the box and there were so many coins.
My husband counted the coins and it was 660!!
We got unexpected bonus.\(^^)/
We enjoyed the travel to New York.
After I came back from New York, I began to keep 500yen coins in the new maney box.
I bought that money box in London five years ago.
It is a candy box and we can use that as a money box after we've finished to eat candies.
I'd left behind that in the back of the shelf for a long time but as I learned that "Many a little makes a mickle.", I put out that.
Thought this container is smaller than the previouse one, I think that I can keep more than 300 coins.(^O^)
The container is in the shape of Big Ben so I'll never foget to put coins while
the Olimpic Games has been held.

We enjoyed the trip to New York.
you can also use the word trip to replace travel, because you already said the place you wanted to go ,or did go to.

While the Olimpic Games are being held.
Are you interested in Olympic Games?
its best to wait to see how many medals you got at the end. like a present.
We Japanese are interested in Olympic Games very much.
You can say that it is a fever.
I know that there are so many great athletes in America so I'm lookong forward to seeing that how many medals America win.(^O^)
Though this container is smaller than the previous one, I think that I can still keep more than 300 coins in it.(^O^)
Did you want to say "Though" at the beginning?
If so, you can add "still" in the second part.
Also, if you want to use the word "keep", add "in it" to complete the sentence.
Personally, I haven't had time to watch any events yet.
I did here that Canada lost a soccer game and a basketball game.:(
but it's still early!
"I thin that I can keep more than 300 coins in it though this container is smaller than the previouse one."
Is that more natural than I mmade?
For this new sentence don't forget a comma after "in it" or use "even though". It changes the meaning just a little bit.
I watched swimming, women's soccer, judo and women's weght lifting on TV.
