I was very surprised when I watched the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games on TV.
At the end of the ceremony, a rock band appeared.
The members looked midle age and I wondered who they were.
While that, an anouncer said that They were "The Who" and were a famous rock bamd like "The Beatles" and "The Rolling Stones".
In fact, "The Beatles " and "The Rollong Stones" are very famous but I didn't know
"The Who".
However I was very surprised when I listened to their music.
That was theme song of "CSI:NY".
I said "え～～っ！！(ﾟOﾟ)”voluntarily.
I've thought that the musician of the theme song was American because that was American drama, especially its title was "NY".
I searched "The Who" on the internet and was surprised again.
The theme songs of "CSI:" and "CSI:miami" are also perfomed by "The Who".
I've known that the title of the theme song of "CSI:".
That is "Who Are You" but I've never known the musician of the song.
Now I know that you are "The Who".(^_^;)

My dictionary says 思わず = "unintentionally", "involuntarily", "spontaneously"
Any of those are ok :)
I've always thought that the musician who performed that theme song was American because the TV show was American, and especially because its title contains "NY".
You'll usually find that "TV Dramas" are referred to as "TV shows" or "TV Series"
I searched for "The Who" on the internet and was surprised again.
I've known that the title of the theme song of "CSI" is "Who Are You", but I've never known who the performers of the song are.
That is "Who Are You" but I've never known the musician of the song.

"Listened" in your current context is a little strange because you didn't purposed look for the music and purposely play it. You heard it was part of the closing ceremony which you were watching.
