This is an essay assignment.
I believe that if Japanese companies don't make efforts to survive today's competitiveness, they might go bankrupt.I have some reasons to support my claim.
First of all, many Japanese people are not good at speaking English.Because our world is shrinking, this might lower Japanese competitiveness in the world.English plays a role as an international language.Today, many foreign companies, especially American companies tend to employ Indian people because they speak English.
Secondly, compared with the past, many companies in Asian countries have gained momentum. They can provide us good services or good products at cheap prices, because the cost of personnel is low in these countries.
To sum up, I think Japanese companies should find good ways to remain competitiveness in today's global economy. They must make more efforts to improve their situation.

They can provide us good services or good products at cheap prices, because the cost of labor is low in these countries.
It is more appropriate to say "Labor" in this case
