Translation from the post in twitter.
*** August 6th called "Hiroshima day" in Japan. ***
This happened in a hotel in Taiwan.

Then a waiter hold me and said "You can pray here." and the general manager of the hotel told all customers and their staffs in loud voice "Please, give silent pray for Hirosima!"
They silently prayed. After that some Europians and Americans came close to Japanese and hold their hand.
I was very moved. Taiwan is our friend country ...

"Held" is the past form.
When I was in middle school I tried learning Traditional Chinese once in order to impress a Taiwanese girl I met on the internet. But now I'm keeping myself for my future Japanese wife.
