I'm struggling with thousands of strange english words because of GRE exam.I'm curious that how do natives remember words? In my view, some words are related by root, prefix and subfix. But some long words are not derived from any other word.Is there any skill?

Well, for me speaking English for 15 so years.
After know the language for so long and seeing it
Usually you remember the word and what it means after the first time you see it.
But, the best way in my opinion is to read the word in context.
One further question is do natives have to prepare for the GRE verbal part? For example recite some words and do some reading practice.Or one can ignore these practice and mostly focus on the inner logical part?
But English being my native language I most likely wouldn't have to.
But for you, you should just to be safe.
GRE is a exam designed for prospective graduate students in USA.I'm a Chinese and sick of the verbal part. This part require students distinguish words sharing the same meanings...
It's good to know words by the root, prefix, and suffix but you should never rely on it.
Example: She is taking a stroll around the park.
If you see taking as another form of 「Do」
and you know what 「around」 means
and you know what a 「park」 is
What else could 「strolling」 mean?
Be 「logical」 with your answers.
oh, you don't learn them all at once, you pick them up over a period of time, probably years. You may be able to have a grasp of their vague ideas but the context part (using the right word in the right place) takes time.
