I'm sorry that I was too busy and tired to write something in English. Now I would like to introduce the city where I grew up and where I am living in now.
Wuhan（武汉）, the biggest city in central China, has a unique position in China's history, politic and economic.It locates in the confluence of Yangtze River and Han River，which divide it into three main parts: Hankou（汉口）,Hanyang（汉阳） and Wuchang（武昌）. In fact, Hankou and Wuchang are two different cities and Hanyang is a big town before 1927 when the government decided to unite them into one big city. With the population of 9.78 million people, It has been the fourth most crowed city in China, following Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. It is the capital of Hubei Province and famous for its tasty snacks and beautiful landscape.
Hankou, which is the Central Business District of Wuhan, had been the colony of British after China failed in the second Opium War in 1858, as well as Shanghai. Since then, Hankou had begun its modernization, till now, it is still the most bustling area even in Central China.
While there are many good universities in Wuchang, which is the educational and cultural center of Wuhan City, such as Wuhan University（武汉大学）, Central China Technology University（华中科技大学） and ect. The Crane Tower（黄鹤楼）, which has been called "the greatest tower in the world"（天下第一楼）, stands in Wuchang near the Yangtze River. It was built 2000 years ago and attracted so many literati leaving their poems and articles. And you should never miss the beautiful scenery around the East lake（东湖）, Which is surrounded by universities. And if you come here in the time when cherry blooms, you will be deeply impressed by the Luojia mountain in Wuhan University which is covered by the cherries. And this also makes the Wuhan University "the most beautiful university in China".
The revolution in 10th. Oct. 1911 claimed the end to the Monarchy and establish the first republic nation in Far East, the Republic of China( which is in Taiwan now). That made Wuhan so important in China's modern history.
Hanyang is the industrial zone and development zone in Wuhan. Guqintai（古琴台）, which located in the north side of Yangtze River on the Turtle Mountain（龟山）, was the place where Yu Boya（俞伯牙） played his instrument and met his best friend Zhong Ziqi（钟子期）, which is the most famous story about bosom friend. And the Chinese word bosom friend is written as 知音 , means " know the meaning of the music" because if Ziqi can understand what Boya want to express in Boya's music.
