I Want To Learn Korean

One of my classmates is learning Korean by herself. She bought books about the grammary of Korean two months ago and started to learn. Till now,she has made great progress. She can read Korean characters. She is so clever and I admire her very much! So I want to commit myself learning Korean! However,I went to the bookstore today's morning,there were few books about Korean and a lot of books about learning Japanese. I felt so disappointed!

Hi :) Why don't you ask your friend to recommend some books that she is using? Or since you're studying English, if you search or google some English websites that provide both useful and free Korean lessons, I think it should at least help you to get to know the basics. Also, if the bookstores in your town do not have many Korean books, try amazon.com (or other online bookstores). If you just type in 'learning korean' there are many books even for the beginners. Good luck!
