现在在政府部门任职,但是我不太喜欢这份工作。
在中国,许多人都认为这是一份好工作,因为它稳定并且体面。

我的父母不允许我辞职。
我该怎么办?

I working for the government, but I don't like this job.
In English, you work 'for', or 'with' a group, not in(side) the group.
In China, many people think this is a good job, because it's stable and respectable.
respect-able = can be respected, able to be respected.
My parents didn't allow me to resign.
didn't = did not (past-tense verb). allowed =(past tense). You do not need two past-tense verbs.
With many verbs, English speakers can identify them because we can put the word 'to' in front of them and it sounds natural. When we are referring to a verb as an action/noun, we always put 'to' on front. 'to' is only used when the sentence is affecting the verb. For example: "The dog jumps". "The dog likes to jump/The dog likes the action of jumping".
If you dislike your job, then find another. Although stability is important, you only need food and water to survive. Happiness is the only thing that makes life worth living. So live happily.
Another option is to travel the world and learn what life is like elsewhere, outside of what you are told to do. It's not difficult to travel with minimal funds. All you really need is a way to make money, and the money necessary to travel to your next destination.
In the end, it's not up to me to make your decisions. I can only offer my advice and hope that it helps you make decisions you won't regret. Don't ever let others make decisions for you, because your life is your life. Good luck, and may you find happiness, regardless of your decision.

My parents won't let me resign.
won't = will not. let = to allow something to happen (without interfering)
